How did you get into wargaming?
I love to work with my hands. Especially with brush. But since even some kids draw much better than me, I found myself in painting models. And painting is only 50% - assembling and slight converting is just great.
How did you get into Tau?
No grimdarkness, no genocide, no xenophobia, guns beat swords, a KIND race. And I am a very kind person.
What would be your second piece of advice (after "read the freakin' rules") to a new Tau player?
Ignore those cattle herds in power armors and landraiders who shout about Tau have no place in 40k due to the reasons above, Tau was designed by GW just to make money on little kids and anime-fags, etc. The Greater Good is upon us. And as the late Enciclopedoa Draematica kindly tells us "In every game, there is at least one overpowered race or profession that even 13-year-old-boys with downs syndrome can play and have a chance at winning. In steps the Space Marine."(c) And Tau empire is on a FAR-far away opposite side.
What is your Tau colour scheme?
Different. I don't like to stick on one scheme so my small army are tattered remnants of several cadres, retreated and stuck on some Orkz' planet together.
How did you find this site/the old site, and how long have you been a member?
Found it accidentally, In a desperate search of a WH40k community which is at least more or less sane. Was astonished by order and cleanness reigning here, and kind people inhabiting. Feels just like home...
What are the origins of your ATT username?
Actually, the right name would be "Miathan", Miafan is a russian transliteration of it, but it was long ago and had no idea about it that time. Its a name of a fictional villain in a not very significant fantasy book of old. I liked like it sounds and since then its my common nickname.

Very rarely, at home with friends. =(
Do you have any other armies, for 40K or another system?
Orkz - for fun, relief, painting training and to have decent enemies for my Tau.
What is your favourite and least favourite army to play against?
Favorite - orkz, least favorite - space marines. Typical I think.
What is your best and worst 40K moment?
Best - a lone Ork Deffkopta blasting a full health SM Dreadnought oneshot.(orkz vs SM, yes)
Worst - 6 dices showing "snake eyes" to my Crysis Suit command squad.
What does/do your family/significant other/friends think about your 'funny toys'?
Family is OK, friends are sometimes jealous)

Do you have any pets?
Had a cat. She live with me through my entire life and died recently at the age of 21(her age). Since that - no, cos I live alone and work much - can't allow myself a pet.
