Real first name:Richard

Age and gender:43yr. Male

Location:Orlando, Florida

Occupation:Environmental Scientist

How did you get into wargaming?Friend at work introduced me, and I really enjoyed the modeling aspect of the game

How did you get into Tau? I looked at the models, and decided there was a lot I could do to modify and adapt the army. I almost never build according to the way it's supposed to look

What would be your second piece of advice (after "read the freakin' rules") to a new Tau player? Don't be afraid to take chances. The worst that could happen is you lose, and it's only a game.

What is your Tau colour scheme? Crimson and Creme (I'm an Oklahoma Sooners Fan) with burnt orange highlights

How did you find this site/the old site, and how long have you been a member? I was surfing the web for modeling ideas to steal and came across this one

What are the origins of your ATT username? I used to play Everquest, and my character was a Dwarf Paladin named Stonechipper. I got so used to people calling me that over voice chat for 4 years that it kind of stuck.

Have you reviewed the ATT Member Primers? Yes

Where and how often do you usually play? Coliseum of Comics in Kissimmee has a Wednesday Night league. They play various tournaments that go for about 6 weeks at a time. It's pretty fun, they come up with new scenarios all the time to keep it fresh, like a 500 point Carnage league (4 on a table, everyone for himself) up to 2k games.

Do you have any other armies, for 40K or another system? I have about 4000 points of Chaos Daemons(My Khorne daemons are purple), and about 7000 points of Blood Angels (Blue, with my own chapter of an open hand, with a stigmata)

What is your favourite and least favourite army to play against? Favorite to play against is Tyranid, they can be pretty unpredictable, and have a wide range of strategies (I usually lose). LEAST favorite to play against is Grey Knights, I mean REally, does EVERY weapon have to be a force weapon?

What is your best and worst 40K moment? Best: I was playing my daemons, against Tyranids, My opponent shot his "Distance Flame Template" at my Pink Horrors, and the Changeling actually worked. I forced my opponent to wipe out an entire group of Genestealers that had just shown up on the table. He was sooooo ticked off, but we both got a good laugh out of it. Worst: Playing against an Imperial guard force, I went second, and he destroyed all my Tanks, and Broadsides, before I could get off a single shot with his Vendettas.

What does/do your family/significant other/friends think about your 'funny toys'? My wife thinks I spend too much money, but I keep reminding her that I don't drink, so I have to spend that money somewhere else!!

What are some of you other interests? Computers, Protecting the many Eagle Nests in our County.

Do you have any pets? One, a Pomeranian named Mica (looking to get a German Shepherd... no.. not to eat the little dog)

What is your favourite band? I'm a little all over the place. Eric Clapton, Rush, Sammy Hagar, The Gourds, Handsome Devil, Reel Big Fish, The Police, and Bob Marley are what's taking up most of the space on my MP3 player.

Welcome Stonechipper.

Nice to see you've taken the time to post an info template.

Very cool, so i'm not the only one who wants blue blood angels if I understand that correctly. Afterall our own veins are blue/green.

Same, although since bringing up the "I don't drink/this makes me happy" point my significant other has turned a blind eye to what she doesn't necessarily mind, but "would rather buy household decor" with the money I spend.

Look forward to some pics, and to seeing you post and contribute.

Welcome to ATT, and everyone hates greyknights so don't worry about it.

Eagles are awesome, I'll be glad to see them around a while longer...
