Real first name: My first name is Timothy (preferably Tim, and only my grandma calls me Timmy so don't even think about it!)

Age and gender: 34 and Male

Location: El Paso, Texas (for now; I'm active duty Army so this changes periodically)

Occupation: US Army

How did you get into wargaming? Played Magic the Gathering back in the late '80s early '90s, my local gaming store had Warhammer minis and a local gaming group. I really liked the models and eventually took the leap to try it out...

How did you get into Tau? After collecting various 40k armies, I really liked the Tau drones and vehicles, and when the latest codex came out decided to start collecting Tau.

What would be your second piece of advice (after "read the freakin' rules") to a new Tau player? Try and come up with a color scheme that isn't garish and gaudy. Not necessarily a codex color scheme, but please stay away from the Clown and Circus Tau aesthetic...

What is your Tau colour scheme? Red, Black, and White.

How did you find this site/the old site, and how long have you been a member? Just became a member recently, but been lurking for a long time...

What are the origins of your ATT username? Been using kanebbcksc since junior high... Kane has been my favorite name for D&D characters and other RPG type characters since I was 12 or so...

Have you reviewed the ATT Member Primers? Yes

Where and how often do you usually play? Haven't played for about 5 years. But have recently felt rejuvenated and ready to relearn the gaming aspect. I never stopped collecting and painting...

Do you have any other armies, for 40K or another system? I have a Dark Angels army (roughly 2500 pts Deathwing, 1000 pts Ravenwing, 1500-2000 pts Regular Dark Angels. Also, have a Grey Knights army (not a bandwagoner, been collecting since the release of Codex: Daemonhunters), army is currently about half old metal models, and half new plastics stuff. Can field roughly 3500-4000 points. Lastly, I have an Ogre Kingdoms army in the works. Been collecting these since the release of the Initial codex (excited about the new one!), and can field between 2500-3000 points worth currently.

What is your favourite and least favourite army to play against? Used to really hate playing against Dark Eldar and Imperial Guard, but we'll see what happens when I start playing again. Favourite army to play against? Never really mattered to me as long as my opponent had a good attitude and played fairly.

What is your best and worst 40K moment? Worst 40k moment occurred recently; while doing a conversion/kitbash to make a new Heavy Support choice for my Tau, I cut off a good sized chunk from my left index finger with an Xacto knife. Best moment? I don't know, maybe when I won three different painting awards at a tournament setting in Jacksonville, Fl about 6-7 years ago...

What does/do your family/significant other/friends think about your 'funny toys'? Most think they are pretty neat, and a good hobby to be into. Some make fun of me for it "Why don't you build furniture, or work on classic cars, etc", but I laugh and tell them this is what I enjoy doing with my free time!

What are some of you other interests? I enjoy reading many different Genres of books, occasionally playing video games, and generally hanging out with my wife and kids.

Do you have any pets? I have two dogs; one 10 month old English Mastiff named Brutus (he's 135 pounds right now), and a 5 month old English Bulldog named Lily. Love my dogs!

What is your favourite band? This is a hard one as I like lots of different bands... If I had to pick just one it would probably be Tool, but that would change based on my mood and what I was doing at the time...

Welcome to ATT Tim, can't wait to see what your painted models look like. If you won 3 Tournaments you must be pretty darn good.

Welcome aboard the orbital! I really look forward to seeing your award-winning paint scheme on some minis, as well as the rest of your massive collection of models!

Excellent choice. I am a huge Tool fan as well, and it's great to find someone else who enjoys them (or has actually heard of them... :dead: ).

Welcome to ATT.

Tool is the greatest band ever! Well maybe not EVER but they are really a very good band. I've seen them live three times and they really are that good. Not just studio magic.

I wouldn't say that I'm that good at painting... Definitely not Golden Daemon standard! But I do alright. Those tourney winners were at a smallish tourney, not a big one. Heres a link to the pics of the tourney winners (Ogre Bulls, Galrauch, and the hellcannon):
