How did you get into wargaming? Not counting green army men or micro machines as a kid (looking back, oddly organized about it for my age...) I'd say my step dad and uncle (Eldar and Orks, I got stuck with Marines from the starter box).

How did you get into Tau? I quit for the better part of a decade. I was playing competitive Magic at a comic shop when the Tau and Necrons came out and their look, story, and tactics caught my interest.

What would be your second piece of advice (after "read the freakin' rules") to a new Tau player? I'd give them one of the first "tips" I got from a friend when he let me try his arm... "Don't charge in with the Fire Warriors!"

What is your Tau colour scheme? That is still being debated. Currently leaning towards a darker blue with an orange second color, cloth being more of a khaki. I've always had trouble picking a scheme I liked. :?

How did you find this site/the old site, and how long have you been a member? I did a search on google for painting and color scheme tips and found the collection of great articles Fio'O Tael posted under the R&D section.

What are the origins of your ATT username? Aluco is a gaming handle I've used for several years now, and sadly I can't quite remember where I got it from. I tend to use words, names, or phrases from various languages for character names, and if memory servers I can narrow down the name to Gaelic, Russian, German, or a dialect of one of their general areas (probably Ukrainian if any).

Have you reviewed the ATT Member Primers? Yes.

Where and how often do you usually play? I just moved down here so I don't have anywhere set, but I was able to step into a comic shop that had a few games going for a little while (sadly wasn't able to stay long) a little while ago, I believe it was Dark Side Comics. I liked the atmosphere so that will probably be the first place I'd start. With my schedule I would probably start playing just on the weekends, and then a few days during the week when my schedule balances out.

Do you have any other armies, for 40K or another system? Currently no, I have a horrible Space Marines army (not an insult to the Emperor's finest, I just had a bad list) and an Empire (Fantasy) army in pieces.

What is your favourite and least favourite army to play against? Eldar for both, based on mainly playing against my step dad when I first started. Better army and tactics, almost perfect winning record. So I love the chance to crush them, and hate when I lose to them.

What is your best and worst 40K moment? Worst moment(s) would be the 10 game streak against various people with my Space Marines where in the first turn my Land Raider was flipped. Best was the first time I took down my step dad's Wraithlord. (I swear I don't have as many "father issues" as it seems, I just didn't play too many other people before i quit)

What does/do your family/significant other/friends think about your 'funny toys'? They're a bit expensive, but that's about it.

What are some of you other interests? Any aspect of gaming (be it video, card (collectable or other), board, drinking, dice and paper, and anything in between), cheesy movies, and occasional reading (I admit, I don't read as often as I should, but I love stories).

Do you have any pets? I currently live with a slightly annoying cockapoo and affectionate bulldog. Neither are actually mine.

What is your favourite band? Hard to pinpoint a favorite with such a broad question. Rock would be Disturbed, punk would be Offspring, a cappella would be Van Canto, to name a few.

I have to admit, I technically don't have a Tau army yet. About to start working within a week or two (lost my job, Tech Support Rep for Canon printers, a few months ago, moved down to Florida to get a job working as my grandfather's assistant installing/programming/maintaining the phones and phone system for a non-profit group that runs several clinics around the Tampa/Sarasota area). I'm expecting to have at least a 1500 point army by my second paycheck. From there start getting some games under my belt and use that experience along with the information I can gain on here and from the people I play with to decide what directions I want to go with my army.
