How did you get into wargaming?
I got introduced in primary school from friends showing me our local towns GW store and since my first combat squad of marines (poorly painted and guns glued incorrectly) I have been hooked

How did you get into Tau?
I wanted to build an army from scratch, I had enough of my current stock of 5-6 armies which I sold/gave away and Tau appealed because I liked their lines on the models, mainly the vehicles, which flow elegantly in an attractive sci fi orientated style. Since then I have developed a growing addiction for tau yet I have only played a few games at 4th edition rules.

What would be your second piece of advice (after "read the freakin' rules") to a new Tau player?
Hmmmm, learn the suit configurations, their usefulness and specific tactical applications.

What is your Tau colour scheme?
Space wolves and codex grey.

How did you find this site/the old site, and how long have you been a member?
Not sure if I have seen the old site, only just joined in anticipation for the new codex *dreams of it happening longingly* but I have browsed the articles for many years.

What are the origins of your ATT username?
A combination of an old username and the intention to ride my Tau hard through 6th edition.

Have you reviewed the ATT Member Primers?
Yes.

Where and how often do you usually play?
Never at the moment but I am considering joining a local gaming group.

Do you have any other armies, for 40K or another system?
Space marine scout themed army as I got fed up of boring marine armies. Although I decided I needed one once I saw I could do an interesting army as opposed to a stock marine core army.

What is your favourite and least favourite army to play against?
Orks are my preferred choice as even though in the current meta they are challenging, opposite to what they used to be for tau but a fun game is always guaranteed. My least favourite is marines because they are, shoot me down for using this terminology but vanilla to the extreme.

What is your best and worst 40K moment?
My best is teaching children to play 40K in mt gaming club I used to run. My worst is losing a carnage game in turn one because all my opponents had played my current army at the time of plague marines and were running scared so ganged up on them.

What does/do your family/significant other/friends think about your 'funny toys'?
My partner revels in the fact that I am a geek although I do not think she can be persuaded to join the greater good and my family have seen me go through phases of interest and lack thereof in 40k so they are not bothered about my "funny toys".

What are some of you other interests?
I am an active outdoorsman, I enjoy cycling mainly, it has been noted I am addicted to it. Also I enjoy running, walking and kayaking.

Do you have any pets?
2 cats and a dog at the moment but the pets in my house change on a regular basis.

What is your favourite band?
Too many to choose from I have eclectic tastes.
