Hey everyone, Im just writing a new post here because I forgot to fill out the new member sheet when i first posted and I kinda just presented my army list instead. Something I was informed is frowned upon but as that thread is now locked for some reason I thought I should post my profile here.

Real First Name= Christian
Age and Gender= Male 19

Occupation= student, with all the part time jobs that includes

How did you get into wargaming?= I actualy started with the starcraft video games, when I found out they were based on a tabletop game I had to check it out. It helped that two of my friends were already into it.

How did you get into Tau?= Two reasons. First I thought they looked awsome, Im really into mecha anime and the battlesuits called out to me :) Second, their unbalanced army seemed interesting. By unbalanced I mean their complete dedication to ranged combat at the total expense of melee abilities, I thought it would be a nice contrast to my friend's melee lovin ork army.

What would be your second piece of advice (after "read the freakin' rules") to a new Tau player?= Well other than reading these forums a lot I would say just start playing games to find out what works and what dosn't. For example I use a full team of gun drones as a fast attack slot, some people here have said it's a bad idea but not only are they a great harassment unit but they constantly supprise me by taking out things I only expected them to dent. :D They have been working for me and thats all the reason I need to use them.

What is your Tau colour scheme?= Im going for an urban camo scheme with grey as the main armor color highlighted with occasional pannels of space wolves grey. The sept color is blue, my favorite color.

How did you find this site/the old site, and how long have you been a member?= I was just looking for a good Tau forum, since every race in 40k seems to have one, and I stumbled accross this site. I havn't been a member more than a few days.

What are the origins of your ATT username?= It's actualy the real name of captain Char Aznable of the original gundam anime, Casval Rem Deikum, I just threw some Tau style anunciation into it.

Have you reviewed the ATT Member Primers?= Yes

Where and how often do you usually play?= At my local Chimera Hobby shop and every two weeks or so.

Do you have any other armies, for 40K or another system?= I have a vanilla-marines codex for my personal marines the Star Dragons. They're descendents of the Salamander chapter and realy like using Dreads.

What is your favourite and least favourite army to play against? Well i only regularly play against necrons and orks, the necron player has never beat me, I give him credit for being a good sport though. The ork player I have trouble with since the only thing I have that can handle his E'avy armor, FNP, Cybork Warboss and Nobz is my Shas'O and his fireknife team. Hes also realy cocky about his win streak so I'm looking forwrd to beating him someday soon.

What is your best and worst 40K moment?= The Best was definatly my shield drone team killing the Warboss in melee without loosing a drone :D he still wants me to add some spikes to the drones so he can figure out how they killed something in melee. The worst moment was a 2v2 game where my pratner completly fell apart and I had to fight of the orks and necrons by myself. Needless to say it didn't go well.

What does/do your family/significant other/friends think about your 'funny toys'?= Family dosn't pay them much attention, no G at the moment, and my friends like them.

What are some of you other interests?= Im a huge DnD player and am into Star Wars The Old Republic.

Do you have any pets?= No

What is your favourite band?= Don't realy have a favorite, not much of a music guy.

So there you have it, hopefuly this was a better introduction than my first post and things will be smooth sailing from now on.

Welcome to ATT. As you've indicated having read the Membership Primers, you'll know why your post was locked and what is and is not permitted at ATT. I'd also suggest taking the time to spell / grammar check your posts as we take these things seriously.

Yes Sir!

Too bad there's no spellcheck in the post system. I type too fast for my own good.

I recommend using a browser like Firefox, which has a built in spell checker.

People keep telling me to ditch my internet explorer for firefox or anything else. I guess I'm just too stubborn or something.
I think slowing down should be enough to handle most spelling problems.

welcome to ATT Cas'val

If you don't want to switch from Internet explorer, you could copy and paste your posts into a program like word for a spell check then paste it back? Of course if your comfortable spell checking yourself that's fine

Hope you enjoy your stay here

That's not a bad idea there Shadowkat and I might just give it a try. I just hope I can come up with something worthwile to contribute to this vast collection of all things Tau. It's a daunting prospect but at least the welcome has been pretty warm.

The site can be fairly daunting at first. Mainly because its run so differently to anywhere else I've found on the web. The great thing about ATT is that because post counts and all that other silliness don't matter, you shouldn't feel like you NEED to post something to be a part of the community. There is nothing wrong with simply sitting back and enjoying the ride. Browse some threads, collect some ideas and if you feel like you have something constructive to add to a conversation, jump on in!

Im still fairly new to the site myself and went quite awhile without making my first post (after the membership introduction). Eventually I started a thread of my own for my cadre and I've found it to be really fun and helpful getting feedback from various members of the community. you may like to start your own thread eventually or even just ride along for someone else's project just by giving feedback or telling them they've done a good job!.

There are plenty of ways to be a part of the community here and youll naturally find where you settle in eventually :)
