How did you get into wargaming?

A childhood of building Lego's and playing RTS(real-time strategy) computer games would pretty much set up a foundation for one to delve into a world of table-top wargaming!

How did you get into Tau?
After a action-packed afternoon of seeing the film, "Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones", at the movie theaters, my mother let the family run wild into the neighboring shopping mall to explore. Traveling through the mall a bit I eventually met my way into a Games Workshop! My eyes laid upon a life sized cardboard cut-out of a futuristic alien warrior that I will soon learn is a Fire Warrior. Laser rifles, battlesuits, and hover tanks?! Sign me up! It will however be quite some time before I purchase my first model. I've always been very near to the hobby though soaking up the culture as a whole.

What would be your second piece of advice (after "read the freakin' rules") to a new Tau player?
Being somewhat new to the hobby I can tell you that the financial side of 40K can be quite daunting but one should take it slow. Build up an army "brick by brick" so to speak. Set goals and not hours. I was rolling with the 4th edition Codex for years before I even purchased my first model.

What is your Tau colour scheme?
I can be so indecisive with these sort of things but a gray and black urban theme struck my fancy. Not quite a Sa'cea blue but somewhere in between that and Vior'la.

How did you find this site/the old site, and how long have you been a member?
I've always been a lurker on this site for years now but only recently actively participated! Like a shadow watching; from the bleachers!

What are the origins of your ATT username?
I'm a die hard Batman fan! Have been since the beginning. Gothamn has been my Internet handle for various sites and ended up as my PSN(Playstation Network) ID. I picked up blogging along the way and have taken that name.

Have you reviewed the ATT Member Primers?

Yes of course! Front to back and provides something to read on my down time here at ATT. Very informative.

Where and how often do you usually play?

I try to hobby when I can and wherever I can. So far it's been time at a friend's garage and the local game shop to get in practice and paint.

Do you have any other armies, for 40K or another system?

None so far but I've always had an eye out for the fantasy opposite of the Tau Empire; Lizardmen. Fluff wise, the Lizardmen are the chosen ones and I've always thought that of the Tau. Being immune to chaos, they're the would be heroes of 40K.

Favorite Tau Empire miniature?
The old XV15 Stealth suits were beautiful models! I'll take them over the XV25's any day.

What does/do your family/significant other/friends think about your 'funny toys'?
I am so blessed to have understanding friends and family. Luckily for me, a fraction of my friends already enjoy the hobby and family are indifferent to it all. My girlfriend however is a special case. I've struck gold with this. She really sees it as a "guys will be guys" kind of thing and it's all the same to her. No matter the level of geek it is.

Do you have any pets?
Yes! I have my pet cat, Athena.

What is your favourite band?

Weezer all the way! \m/-_-\m/

I want to thank you for patiently reading this post and glad to be a part of a great community like this. There's not one place on the Internet with the wealth of Tau knowledge. This place is top notch. Bar none!

Happy Hunting!

You'll be happy to know that it looks like the XV-15's are coming back in Finecast, so you'll be able to get plenty more as time goes on.

ShasOFish yes! I just read that online not two minutes ago! Although I've heard some gripes about Fincast to which were some horror stories(not going into it now) I'm glad to some point GW actually caught on that I'm not the only one who have preferred the XV-15's  Thanks for the news bro!
