The models aren't bad, though there are some things that could be fixed. The eyes for one look really surprised, as if she'd just seen a hormogaunt for the first time and realized that the horror stories the other shas brought back from long trips did no justice to the real thing. Also, the general consensus is that female tau do not have breasts, though it is your army and there's no real reason why you shouldn't model them as such.

Another note, you should read over the membership primers and posting guidelines; your post isn't quite up to scratch.

I'm not seeing what you mean either.

What I see is a few properly sized pictures, a rather well done custom model that, agreed, looks incredibly surprised and his intentions. If anything I believe his short, kinda choppy text can be attributed to his Russian being his primary language and English his alternative second.

If anything, 'saal, you could attempt to edit your Original Post(OP) into a sentence with your intentions, as well as stating whether this will be a WIP or just a showcase.

All in all, very fine modeling skills. Is the whole thing cast or are some of the parts taken from pre-existing models? I do believe I see a Daemonette head there with some green stuff changes...

I think, what Shas'ui Insectoid means is, the lack of content in his post.

Your sentences are very short.

I really like the model, her head does look a bit surprised but her body is well made and her pose is pretty dynamic.

This is a pretty sweet looking model! I'm a bit confused about how you made her. It looks like the entire body was scratch-built. Are you planning to make casts of her for an entire Fire Warrior squad?

On a side note; I don't think Insectoid realized you weren't a native English speaker. When you took that into account, I think that your post is pretty good, grammar/spelling wise. Like Shas'O J'Laara Nan says, adding some more information about what you plan to do would be a good idea. Plus - I'm curious!

Friends
I purposely did not write much.
I needed your opinion.
The fact that I ordered sculpting miniature female fire warrior.
I wanted to do to make women's squad.
there should be one original model Schasui.
as well as a separate torso, that would be using the standard hands and feet of HBV to other warriors.

Query Wizard to work 150 pounds (around if you convert to pounds).

I am not satisfied with the work. work took 4 months old.
But I also see errors in the anatomy and proportions (it is more than a head taller than the warrior-fire).
as there are no clear lines, and many elements taken lightly.
as its weapons are not weapons of Tau. more like not imperial laser gun.

about face, many have already expressed - it ugly. some sort of a monkey.

FRIENDS! I need your opinion. ask a critical assessment of this work.

PS sorry for http://translate.google.ru/ ^___^

Well, my russian friend, I have to agree. The gun doesn't exactly look Tau-manufactured, the model is infact out of proportions, the sculpt could be better, and I REALLY hope those £150 are for a WHOLE squad of female Shas'la, and not just for a single Shas'ui female leader.

I do like the head that has its hair "flowing" towards the standing tau, though.

If I were you, I'd fetch a roll of green stuff and a sculpting tool, and try to sculpt my own female Shas'la/Shas'ui.. but then again, I have no idea on how well your sculpting skills are..

Hope my comment helped you a bit,

Cheers, FI

150 pounds for 12 models is still a bit steep IMO, you would be better off learning to make your own.

Well, for a personal scratch-build it's impressive... but for an ordered, professional model, much less so. Especially since it took 4 months. I would not pay that much for 12 of those models.

If you are looking for inspiration on modeling look at shadowsuns bear (no helmet) head, its a good example of proportions at least (and the eyes are well done)

I agree with jester. 150 pounds sounds very steep.

pippin

side thought: i wonder if they were more expensive than gold by weight?

sirwalrus, please let me know if I need to make any sentences more understandable.

You are looking for a high quality sculpt equal to a Games Workshop standard. I would rate this miniature good for an art student, but poor for an experienced 40k converter. It looks like the sculptor used Tau images as a guide, but is not familiar with the game or the miniatures.

You said you do not like it. Were you involved during the process? The reason I ask is that a full sculpt is a long project, and if you did not like it you should have been able to say so earlier in the design. This means the sculptor should be sending you progress, and you should be providing proper criticism.

What is your agreement with the sculptor?
Have you payed him or her already?

If you are still able to have the sculptor work on the miniature, I would ask for the miniature to be fixed anatomically closer to an original firewarrior. Shortening arms, legs, making armor edges more sharp, and reworking the head could make a much better piece. Find a source image to show what you would like as a head, and a source miniature head for the level of detail expected.

Long ago we had a thought - in every nation or race, life without women would be terrible. So we decided to make Tau women.

We wanted them to be different from Tau males so you could tell that yeah, that's a woman. But Tau women are quite different from human females, for example, they do not have breasts, witch for us humans is strange (exept for lolis, kekeke).
So we needed to think through design carefully - faces, armor and maybe weapons modfications.

The result is on the pictures. it is a Female Firewarrior Squad that will be led by Commander Shadowsun.

We also thought the background story:
After Shadowsun's flaming speech and incenerating of O'shovah's statue all of the Firewarriors was in aweof her and their morale was off charts, and many of female Firewarriors that only did paperwork before insisted on giving them weapons and sending them on the battlefield for the greater good.
There are only 'la and 'Ui females, but that means there soon will be 'vre as well! And It will be necessary to suit ladies up. So right now we think about female Crysis - elegant and deadly.

Now we are working on seven models of fire warriors. Two of them are just for fun with heavy weapons. five will be the usual fiery warrior of several parts, with the ability to combine them. in the future may be even female crisis.
