I am getting ready to update my Tau for the first time since 2008. Partly this is for the new codex, but I'm also probably going to take them to Adepticon this year.
I only own two broadsides, and have decided to get at least four more. I don't like the look of the standard ones, and don't like the cost of the forgeworld ones, so I am going to heavily convert my own.
I'll be making heads and shoulderpads for the armor, but I like the Paulson Games weapons here:
http://www.paulsongames.com/mecha_parts___54mm.htmlThe large ones appear to work for the shoulder mounted railguns, so that's ok. However there are two other types, one that fits under the arm, and the other that seems to be held, or perhaps mounted on the sides of the arms like the XV88. Is this how the others are mounted? Have any of you purchased the bits to make these before? What do you think looks the best?
Any thoughts on this are appreciated. Once I make the purchases I will be posting all of the pictures of the army as I update them for the new codex here.
