Been away a while, lotsa work lately so I've been busy. Anyway, I did get something done. :) Camo works nicely on these titans, I switched to metallics, with a dull finish, saves me time, and still looks "tech" enough for me. These are gamining miniatures so overdoing it with NMM wasn't a good idea, I figured. :) Railgun is still "blue-taced" on, need to get more magnets before I'm "completely" done. :)

On to titan number 2 then I guess.

Comments etc welcome. :)

Cheers

Jutami you never cease to amaze with your work! You get my vote for a new sticky.

The metallics are subtle yet just shiny enough, exactly what they should be. What really impresses me with this model is the stance. At first glance it seemed like it was well grounded with one foot solidly on the ground but you managed to pose in mid stride. Nicely done.

One quick question, on the back part of the base, behind the Titan, there is a small purple "thing". Is it a crushed chaos marine? A close-up view of the base would be much appreciated.

That titan is just awesome, really something different too the regular bulky one's that are just stacked with as many raiguns that that the eye can hope for...

What rules do you have put in place for him ( or her ) ???

It almost looks like a Hammerhead Transformer lol! Very awesome model though. I like how the metalic parts mesh well with the camo-painted armored platings.

Interesting you say that Kreoss. The manager of the shop where i play tok a number of bits and made an Optimus Prime(the 2007 version).

To Jutami, I commend you. The titan looks amazing, and I want one. I am mildly disappointed that its only apparent armament is a single railgun, assuming you're finished. Either way, I'll just sit ogling your work, don't mind me.

Mightily impressive Jutami, you have really nailed down that paint destressing style you've developed. The model is superb without saying, always enjoy your unique and often abstract use of bitz to create new forms.

Excellent model. Apocalypse Now!

Jeez, how many X-acto blades did you go through for this bad boy :P

It isn't quite smooth and slim enough to meet my tau stereotype, I reckon if they were gonna build a massive titan, they'd put their signature curved panels and chiselled grooves all over it you know? But still this is seriously impressive work, don't stop just because I opened my big mouth :D

Hands down the best interpritation of a Tau titan. I like how you managed to give it a crisis suit feel and kept it slender. I do think it could use some MPs or SMS, but I would also hate to see it get bulked down with a ridiculous amount of ordnance.
Not only is it a work of art from a modelling standpoint (it's built our of bitz, not sculpted  ), but it also has an incredible, realistic paintjob.
I was going to ask for a size comparison, but then I saw the crushed Chaos SM on the ground :dead: ... very nice!

*Has heart attack from amazement*
Seriously though jutami, your original thread inspired me to make a titan of my own (will post pics if enough people are interested and jutami doesn't mind) , but this is just incredible!
Love the camo, love the metallic work, love the modelling, love everything!

Once again, great work. I was wondering if you put any experimental rules together (maybe for Apoc). I really think it would be cool to see what you came up with for getting this big peice of awesome on the board.

Well, I had made a summary sheet thing, like the Apoc ones (forget the name). I don't know how much Jutami approved of it. but its in the Firebase Magazine over at Warseer. Ed 8
