Here is my Female Fire Warrior Shas´Ui. This is both a test model and a showcase model.
Have been converting and painting her for the past 4 days .




Have look at different painting guides and convertions on ATT and The Warhammer Forum. And got so inspired to make her.
It is a lot of good hobby enthusiasts in here

o freakin brilliant!!! This is by far the best female Tau I have seen! You can tell its a female, but the facial features are still Tauish and stuff, and her body still fits a typical "warrior" physique. Honestly, the face is better than shadowsun, who IMO looks like a angry Elf on crack. Wow. I've seen several conversion threads today and they just keep getting better. Any chance of you letting me know where you got the head or showing me how to convert it?

The Head is made from a Daemonette head( the one with the biggest ponytail ), Tau head antenna, and green-stuff.
I can make a tutorial, are going to have a lot of helmet-less Tau females in my army

These pictures are better. I have played a little with my photoshop and the result was better.

I think she has a lot of character and with that sniper rifle, I think she will be an excellent showcase model. Your weathering is pretty good, but I really like how the snow runs up her shins (do tau call them shin? ), it really adds a touch of realism. Alas, now that I look at my tau, their boots seem a little too clean for being in a battlefield . Do you have any more Tau sirens to showcase for us?

There are more tau sirens coming Just have to convert and paint them.

@Shattered Spear- I like when the model get some dirt on it, like you said "it really adds a touch of realism". All my other armies are to "clean/gleaming" like they just jumped right of the transport onto the battlefield. So with this Tau army I will go with a different look, The weathered battle armor and snowy "shins"

Here are the tutorial , it is not the best in the world. But I hope it will help you to make Tau Females
Fire Warrior for The Greater Good

1. Choose a head.

2. Shave of the hair and glue on a new ponytail.

3. Now you shave of the noes and ears ( be carefull not to damage the mouth and eyes.
Take some fine sandpaper and smooth out the skin.

4. Mix a small amount of green-stuff, make the neck protection and add a small piece to the forehead
and smooth it out and make a small nose. Now sculpt a "Y" in the forehead, this can take some trial
and errors. Add the Tau antenna.

5. When you are pleased with the green, let it dry and take some fine sandpaper to smooth out the green-stuff.
( I have added some paint to let you see the Finnish-result of the sculpt, but I will post a new picture when this head is
finished)

I think it looks great and not over the top with giant breasts or anything. Looks quite fitting for a tau frontline soldier. Also, I liked the simple swap for a pulse grenade launcher used as the improved scope (I've done this on rail rifle convesions but in a different way), but copied yours exactly for my tau honour guard to show their increased balistic skill. May I ask what the other two appendages are on the rifle, or are they simply decorative?

Some members was thanking me that I just had made the head and not big anime boobs and much more.

Since the first Tau codex where it says that the cast is made up of both males and females Tau warriors. And the only female model "part" that GW has made is Shadowsuns head. It will seems that there have been none Tau female models since the beginning, But there has. All the females have the same equipment as the males "one size fits all" and when all use there helmet you won´t see the different. And that my friends is what I have based my Tau females on "The Head".

The other are small markerlight under-slugged and the one on the front of the pulse rifle is the front scope(blacksun filter or target lock) for the improved scope. Or decorative if I don´t have the points to take the extra equipment.

I've been searching GW online shop all over for that head, but i can't find it,
I think it is from the fantasy range, but still, i can not find it.

From which race does it come?
and are there minimal 12 on the sprue?
nice idea for a female only squad, seen i have four squads, and all four got their own unique style.

The head is from the new plastic Daemonette sprue.
The box has 18 heads (15 I think fits to convert tau females from and 3 with to much chaos feeling to them)
I try to get the look of both male and female working together.

Looks good, although i have a question about this female fire warriors thing...

My friend infromed me that he heard some fluff somewhere that Tau birth rate ratio between women and men is 30:1... So apparently there are 30 women for every 1 man...Would that make our fire caste already largely made up of women?

If so why does GW only give us Male FW models when in fact they should be more feminie... Disregard this if FAQ above are proven wrong...

This is my Idea of the female fire warriors in the tau empire. And I agree if this 30:1 info is true, where are the female model parts.

Brilliant model, Kais. I'm building my own for a kill-team, and now I want to build one of these as well, I'll be needing more greenstuff

I think it is a personal question of how one is going to build there army and make its fluff. Until GW get a clearer answer it is all good what we do

I think with the Tau genetics and stuff, they probably control the ratio based on need on the planet. And since "love" isn't really a big deal, they probably WOULD have more females, since they could then make more babies, as Tau don't seem to worry about the whole "parenting" thing very much. 1 male and 30 women could potentially create 30 children. 1 female and 30 males could create....one child. I think with Tau logic in mind, its probably 30 females to one male. Or some ratio like that...

O, I am sure we could fluff it any way we wish. I was more commenting on how the "telephone" game works,...

An ALL female army would be tight too.......

She needs breasts or something, otherwise she just looks like a long hair. I do love the model but how is a normal 40k (non-tau) player going to really know its a female and not just a weird head conversion....I know by the hair and the "y" on the brow, but what about other people?

Mmm, boobs would be a great improvement, but I could suggest that for anything, being a teenager. Heck, my guitar would be better with boobs. Crafting them is much more difficult on a teensy model though, I shaved down a tank commander tau so it already had boobs and was just slimmer everywhere else. It worked ok, but I'd like to see a conversion guru take a crack at it.
