Faol,
Neat job on the HH, those glowing engine vents really catch the eye.
Nice camera work too, that 'head on' shot looks good and conveys a sense of power and alieness.

I like your sombre green colour scheme.

Congrats on all your FWs as well.

Thank you, I've always liked dark muted natural colors bright colors just shout "HEY I"M HERE LOOK AT ME !" I've never been that kind of person plus bright bothers my eyes :( however the engine glow is just enough bright to give some notice with out the HOLY COW ITS BRIGHT feel :)

With all the reading from the forums and testing and playing around I'm still a work in progress :)

highlighting with Tamiya would be punishment for the ease of using their rattle cans! GW Snot green would work, or you could pick up a close valljo color -maybe US Uniform or so and add a little white.

have you tried it before!?! The stuff dries so fast that it's basically a no-go. Nice pigment, good self levelling but the fast dry is terrible for line work. Plus becasue it thins with alcohol, it has a really low surface tension and runs all over the place. Dude, I am so saving you grief here. Listen to your uncle kai!

Have you been able to get them to work? If you have a solution I would like to hear it because I do like their colour range but for me they are strictly el'cheapo aribrush paints.

My only experience is with the British green spray and you have way more experience with Tamiya than I do so I'm taking your advice so snot green it is or DAG mixed with gray ;) I found that to be a good highlight

good call and I promise I am not leading you astray. ;)

Here's another gem, the paint colors between lines are way off. The can's a lacquer paint, that's why they dry so fast. Should be cured and able to be sanded within 30 mins to an hour. They dry to a nice satin finish too. Their acryclics of the so-called same colours never match up and dry dead flat. I am sure Tamiya is doing it to mess with me!

whoops, sorry! I mean the little acrylic tub colors to their rattle-can namesake colors. They can have the same name but there the similarity ends. Usually appreciably different.

So the British green spray and the British green in the pot are different... how frustrating that can be :-?

Well it look like I'll be expanding on my paints I'll either look to snot green or sniff "puin intended" around the Valljo paints I've always heard good stuff about it and have been really tempted to try a few out :crafty:

very frustrating. It's one of the main reasons I won't spray now with a paint I can't handbrush on for touch ups. The latter becomes impossible.

There are loads of ways to bring rattle-can paint jobs to life too, including overbrushing other colours onto the middle of panels etc. Next time you are painting one, give me a shout and maybe we can come up with some techniques you can try out. ;)

Great work Faol! Really like the intakes, and you did a smashing job with the decals. Applying those crappy GW decals takes darn near more skill than to paint the thing! Good job, nice and smooth. Sweet, sweet, sweet.

Very nice angle and lighting with these Shas'Ui Faol, I can see the details much better; shows that Ice blue better.:) I like that copper you have on there, I didn't see that last time.

What surface did you use on your back drop for the photos?

faol, thought I should point this out to you but the lenses on the Stealth Suits are a little too flat. Perhaps you could try adding a gem effect to them like what I did with my Stealth Suit team. Its a mixture of XV25s and XV15s. Just like yours.

That's because the lenses on the Crisis Battlesuits are so much larger than the Stealth Suits'.

All you need is some patience and a steady hand.
