I'm looking for a guide for this, cause I love it and really need an HQ. (I pretty much can't have any model that isn't a conversion.) I want to change some things asthetically but I need somewhere to start.

Strudel :
That is the Crisis Commander O'Kais conversion originally found on the French GW website. Of course, you can no longer find it on that website due to their changes... I unfortunately do not have a copy of the step-by-step instructions (and the internet archive doesn't help either...), so I can't help you (unless you can read French!).

There have been a lot of members who have done that conversion, but I can't remember if anyone had done their own step-by-step WIP thread while building it. Try searching for "O'Kais conversion" and maybe the word "French" to see if anyone took some intermediate step shots. If anything, it will give you more angles to view the build at, and maybe then you might be able to figure it out on your own.

Wow! I really love this model! The only think I don't like about this conversion is the foot hooves...they seem to be too small for the rest of the body. I'm testing out a new Shas'O with a CIB, Position Relay, Shield Generator, Iridium Armour, and Ejection System....if it works well an I decide to make him for my army, then I'll use this conversion, with a different gun, the Forgeworld shield of SHAS'O R'MYR and an antenna somewhere to represent the Position Relay.

Thanks Hotfuzz I'll start working on this conversion once I get the right supplies and hopefully post it once it's done.

Man this is great! I remember when I saw it for the first time on french GW site, but my lack of knowledge for that language kept me from experimenting, but now that we have it in english there is no way I won't try it my self!

WOW!!!

i just had a look at the tutorial that HotFuzz provided us with, and i have to say, the standard in that tutorial is exceptional. will ATT be doing a similar thing, since there are several tutorials on this site, will the admins also collect these and turn them into downloadable pdf's?

hello,

i am just converting a suit based on that guide (well actually i picked some things of the guide and did some things from my imagination).

the guide is great, but if Shadowsun is wearing an XV22 than that thing cant be an XV22 (simple for the fact that its quite as big as an XV8)

but the result sure looks cool.

and thanks for suplying us with this guide!

i know 'who' that is, i just wanted to point out that the converted model does not fit the size of an XV22

the numbers give the size of that thing XV22 are rather small, and the model i made is in final bigger than an XV8, okay i made a few changes, but at all that thing is minimum as big as an XV8.

but that doesn't change the fact, that it is a verry good conversion guide (i would never have cut that much on a modell without that guide) and after all this thing (when done properly) looks like O'Kais.

my model does not look that much like O'Kais, but that is because i used the 'Artists Freedome' and changed made some things different to the guide ... and that i don't have the head yet.

Takes the rules then bends them to his idea of Freedom.

Typical.

What else would you expect from an Argentine named 'Che ;) :D

teasing,
Tael. :)

*grins*

but even without 'my' changes it would still be around the size (or slightly bigger) than an XV8

True. It is a large model, I'm tempted to do one based off the Shadowsun model. Seen a few successful conversion that way. Tedious work though.
