Little update on the progress of my Shas'el, this is the first mini I have tried large scale use of blending on and its taking forever!

Very nice. Deep rich red there. The effort is showing and the lustre makes the model more wholesome, as if cast in the hues shown.

You're army in general is fantastic looking. Your new Shas'El is looking great too. Blending may take a long time but it's totally worth it!

Great color scheme.

Firah your battle suit looks awesome. The decorative designs on it are great. The rest of the army looks great too.

I really like the suit, especially the runic pattern. It's very well done. Judging by the 4 ariels it will be a Farsight count as? Also, MEXICAN KROOT!

I love your use of Shadowsun's head on the Fire Warrior Body. I was thinking of doing the same exact thing.

Wow, those models look great! You've achieved a very smooth paint job with these guys.

I especially like the Kroot in the poncho; very clever! Just green stuff?

Nice, very nice. I've been looking forward to you completing that suit. Really admiring the freehand glyph work too.

Quality stuff :)

I have been playing around with some spare parts with vague ideas of making a cool honour guard for my ethereal.

I'm trying to make each of them very individualistic with bits of heirloom / customised weaponry and armour.

(this is secrety just an excuse to make fun conversions ;) )

I love honour guard...that +1 to ballistic gives us almost a reason to play them. Too bad it makes them +2 pts a pop though...that and the ethereal being fairly useless minus leadership tests. Maybe I'll make some specialized guard now for mine. Hopefully they are still available in the next codex.

Ah, since I don't really "play" the game as such the combat effectiveness is not an issue :D . Hopefully they wont remove any units from the codex but instead add a load more (which is what they seem to be doing with all the other codex's I have looked at).

I got some of these guys to hang out with my Tau.

Also I'm looking for some colour scheme help!

I'm not sure what to do with my stealth suits, since my army is a bit everywhere as far as coulour schemes go, and the base colour of light tan seems a little bright for stealth units. I was thinking mainly the darker grey like the cloth parts on my fire warriors with Tron-Style sharp blue highlights but as I say I'm not sure if it will take them too far away from the rest of the army.

Oh no....what have you done!? It looks like the Poor Poor Space Mole-men have returned!

Those guys are adorable; where are they from? The other humans are looking good too! I like Sentinel, but I feel like it has too much empty space; maybe some decals or markings on it?

Yeh the sentinel is a bit plain, I might at least add some Decal squad markings to it sometime.

The deadly space-mole-men come from here: http://blackcatbases.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=437_643&sort=20a&page=1

I ordered some Bitz to make them a salvage-ship to fly around in :) !

Really nice stuff man. The auxillaries are always nice to see and make your army quite unique. I'd definitely like to see some more detail on the sentinal though if it itsn't too late. Maybe some paint chips would be an easy fix.

If your looking for inspiration or a how to on the "Tron" style highlights you were referring to...maybe check out my version of R'alai on my "Blueshock's Cadre" topic. I did a pretty interesting form of that idea with his left arm and shield in purple you might like...as well as putting a quick" how to" on it.
