Hey ATT,

Normally when I paint tanks, I use my air brush. Amazing smoothness. The trouble is, my airbrush is not working, and I have a tank to paint. Would painting with a large drybrush provide comparable smoothness?

the smoothness is probably not a problem but to get an even coating and smoothness you'll probably have to thin down the paint and painting with a brush with tanks takes ages but it can be done.

Its all about thin coats of paint for smoothness. The cons to thinner paint is the more coats you will need. You will also get a better finish in the end.
