To all folks at ATT, in my time with the Hobby I've come across a post or two mentioning lines of miniatures that would make great proxies for aspiring Tau players and I've seen several miniatures lines that create GW-themed stand-ins. I would like to, with the help of the community, try and get those websites and model lines all in one place on this thread so we can have a reference for modelers/converters. If you reply with a link, I'll list them below with the name of the user who discovered it. One final thing, since this is a Tau themed forum, let's try and keep the majority of the links to things that you'd expect to see in a Tau army.

Fio'O Tael had a thread where he asked to PM him with alternate models so he can add them to our list, I can't find this thread right now, but it makes this thread redundant.
