The following are all about model making etc. rather than the forum side of Warhammer. These will hopefully provide some useful extras for conversions or basing.

http://www.evilmushroomgames.com/resin_bases1.htm
Evil Mushroom has an excellent supply of resin bases at an excellent price. I found their service okay, but it was over a bank holiday. Very cheap and good quality.

http://bitzbarn.com/
A well stocked Bitz store for all your conversion needs, I am aware of others but this seems the best stocked. The service was slow, they didn't answer their emails and postage is expensive, coming from the states (obviously not so expensive if you live there!)

http://www.forgecraftgames.com/catalog/
Again more, varied bases. Haven't ordered off this site so I can't comment on the quality/service. But it seems okay.

http://www.dragonforge.com/
good but limited range. Nice bases but not enough of them. Again I haven't ordered off this site so I can't comment on the quality/service. But it seems neat. *edit It transpires if you look further into the website they actually have a HUGE range of bases, so scrub that bit about a limited range. Also their shipping costs are really great too.

http://www.back2base-ix.com/
good for your gaming table with a series of uniformly sized segments that neatly slot together. Hard to navigate.

http://www.microartstudio.com/
Only the bases of interest for 40k players but some other interesting stuff for fantasy players, a bit expensive but a good range

http://www.kerrandking.co.uk/
Some good urban scenery otherwise not so great, still might be useful for some imperial city

http://www.ironhalo.net/store/catalog/
a good model painting service but also an excellent range of bases, a bit samey compared to other sites but these hopefully useful for making that figure stand out on the battlefield

http://www.darkartminiatures.com/
a bit of an O.T.T. website but some good, and expensive, stock. Especially for Chaos and Dark Eldar

http://wargamesfoundry.com/
an excellent site for miniatures and slightly alternate scenery. Good range of stock and good quality, but a bit pricey

http://www.bitzbox.co.uk/
Another Bitz website, better for UK customers (cheaper and quicker) than Bitz-Barn but not as well stocked

http://www.westwindproductions.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=130
west wind productions as a whole do an excellent range, but this links straight to a thing which is best about them. SHS (Separate Head System), basically you buy just the heads! This is brilliant for conversions. I love this website, strongly recommended.

http://www.jrminiatures.net/
more focused on historical figures, but some good scenery. Not as high quality as some other sites but different.

http://www.miniaturescenery.com/
Miniature scenery produces novel slot together scenery. Some good stuff, but it isn't the scenery I am so keen on. They produce these excellent desk organisers, again slot together, which are perfect for the hobby bench, you'll see what I mean when you look at the store

http://www.worldworksgames.com/store/
Haven't ordered from this store because I have found it a look cardboard looking. However for large scenery projects where scale over quality is the aim, it might be useful.

http://www.fantascene.net/cart/
Fanta-Scene sells good bases and some smaller pieces of scenery, good for objective markers. I haven't tested their service so no advice there

http://www.daemonscape.com/index.html
Not the greatest models, but again good bases, and some novel ideas for scenery. A bit expensive, I'm afraid I haven't tested their service

http://www.wargameterrain.co.uk/
Again, more focused on the historical side of the scenery but some useful cross-over. Very good prices

http://www.zuzzy.com/
Zuzzy concentrates more on roll-out mats than physical scenery, but this seems high-quality and fairly priced. I haven't got or made a gaming table so no need for their products

http://www.wargamesterrain.co.uk/page2.html
Wargames Terrain has some good general natural scenery i.e. rocks. A bit expensive but they appear very high-quality. Unused from me unfortunately due to their price but they appear to offer a very good service especially in quality

That's it for now. This is my first ATT post so I hope it is in the right section and everything. :fear: . Hope this is useful

*Edit

http://chapterhousestudios.com/webshop/
This website directly endorses Games Workshop not so much for us Tau lovers there but some great Space Marine goodies, also some female Imperial Guard heads, they could be converted. Looks good

http://sciborminiatures.com/en_,index.php
More for the Fantasy player, but you can find some good stuff for some conversions there. Looking at the pictures some REALLY high quality goods at a price though.

Yes, unfortunately I am unable to post in Resource Article. Perhaps if someone could, they could move it there (plea to the Gods!)
Thanks for your positive feedback

Well, God's won't answer to you around here, maybe the Aun' will answer your plea.

Anyways, I'll point Fio'O Tael in this direction, to have a look over your links.

As far as "purchasing" sites are concerned, we have a thread here which sets out how such sites are to be recommended. Some of those mentioned in your list (thanks for taking the time to do this, btw) come with your recommendation, but some (like http://www.dragonforge.com/ ) do not, and we tend to prefer to put up links to sites which our members have experience of.

Having said that, links to such 'untried' sites are still useful for helping to show other members the sites themselves, but until such time as several purchases are made from a particular site ATT will not "put its stamp of approval" on their being added to the official Buying Online hobby resource thread started by Por'O Orange-Bell.

As was already said though, thank you for the effort you've put into formulating this list. I know one of the sites from personal purchasing (Pig Iron Productions) and Forgecraftgames' products are very nice indeed (my game club shop sells some of them).

E.

Massive list of links there, thanks for the time to put that together. :D

I've got quite a few of those in Resources (an archive area, majority of topics are locked), some I've avoided due to bad press and others as they are not directly useful to Tau (Decent Ally models, Sci Fi parts etc). I have avoided listing the after market resin base sites and so on, as they are quite common.

That said, you have reminded me of some new alien race ranges I should add to the Alternate Miniatures topic. :)

Eigle pretty much put down what I would have said. I'll add several of those links to the right pages, others I'll leave be as we haven't had any feedback on purchases. We tend to be circumspect on adding links for private businesses or promoting sales on the forums until we get a good amount of feedback on them and they are not involved in close IP infringing products.

Selection rationale aside, great post for expanding the community resources :)

- Tael.

At this Time, i order all my Bitz over Ebay.
I have found there some well stocked Bits Seller for example Hoard_._Bits.
Hoard_._Bits is an American seller, good Prizes and a good stocking.

The shipping price is reasonable, usually quite pricey.
Unfortunately, the shipment usually takes a long time, because of the customs examination.
Last Time i ordered there, i have wait +- 3 Weeks for the Package.

Most Time they have only Bitz from new Models, like the Storm Raven or some Grey Knights or good to sell bitz like Land Raider or Rhino Parts.

When the Products goes out of stock, they often sink the Prices and you can make a good Bargain.

For example, if you have Luck, you can become a Landraider without weapons and bits for under 20€.
Some Bitz you can direct buy, some are in a Auction.

Yesterday i have auction the Storm Raven Turret and a pair of Laserweapons for under 10€ for a Conversionproject of me.

I think, its a worthly Seller. ^^

Thanks for your comment Bloody_Kain
I was aware of using eBay but as you said I was unhappy with the time, but here are sometimes some good bargains.

by the way
I can't resist practising my German on unsuspecting people!

Can you please provide the translation for us? We kind of frown on writing in another language without a translation since we can't tell if you're writing something naughty. - Wolfs16

I hate it when it rains, because me and my cardboard box get wet, My most favourite cardboard box is an Amazon.de cardboard box, because it is thick and large. I live under a bridge, third bridge column to the right.

Like Shas'vre Wolfs16 said, please provide the translation next time. Gue'vre Che Gue'vesa

I'm not to good at German but I'll have a go;
'Ich hasse wenn es regnet weil dann mein papkarton und ich nass werden.'
I hate it when it rains because...and get's wet? not sure
'Mein leiblings pappkarton ist ein Amazon.de papkarton, weil es dick und groB ist.'
Your favorite ... is Amazon.de because it is big and fat?
'Ich wohne unter der Brucke'
I live under a bridge,

I don't know the rest but I can say that it doesn't spark up as anything rude (I may be wrong though)
hope it helped

Translate with Google Translation:

Quote:
Ich hasse wenn es regnet weil dann mein karton und ich nass werden. Mein leiblings karton ist ein Amazon.de karton, weil es dick und groB ist. Ich wohne unter der Brucke, dritte Brucke Pfeiler am dem recht.

Gramaticaly wrong but okay if German isn't your Mother Language. xD

Quote:
I hate when it rains because then my box and I get wet. My body is cardboard carton astride a Amazon.de, because it is thick and large. I live under the bridge, the third bridge pillar on the right.

I thought dick meant fat and groB meant big, maybe there are other meanings...

The meaning depends on the context, in this case the thickness of the cardboard box.

But lets not forget that this thread is about useful websites.

duckworth.gb will provide a translation next time, because that is part of our Membership Primers.
