Are you going to apply a specific Camo-pattern, like Tiger stripes ;) , due to it's urban nature?
But so far the colours are working great together - keep it up.

hmm good idea ... but not sure ... maybe the clothes with "splinter-pattern" or "splotch camo"

didnt think about that yet

EDIT: i am about to paint some Firewarriors in the new scheme, i can try the camo-patterns on those

okay after painting a few Firewarriors i decided to start and paint the Boss!

okay Black basecoat is bad for taking pictures, so i did like i did it with my XV8s i quick painted it silver,

1. Better for pictures,
2. Silver is sexy
3. it gives the additional Combatsuit look

so now to get him Blue! :fear:

Edit1: okay i painted him!
Edit2: okay added Camo on him!

and he deffinitely looks naked! so my Gang and my Cadre (which will both use the same scheme) will get a Camo Pattern and i thought of something like 'Metro-Pattern' if that says something to you guys?!

well i try it (like the scheme) on my FWs first! (even though i don't know the *beep* about painting Camo-patterns)

okay i decided to just do dots of 'Camo Green', 'Kommando Khaki' and 'Bleached Bone' as a camo Pattern

okay i after painting 2 Firewarriors i decided to paint my gang!

and here is the first (actually the second as i already painted the boss)

the Tau Gangkid (still to be named) he is equiped with various knifes, Grenades and a laserpistol, to show that he is a 'kid' and sort of still has to proof himselve, he has less armor (just the leggs and a small shoulderpad on the right.

i followed minamoto's advice (he pm'ed me) about the camo to make it look more urban (the Cadres Camo will stay as it is though) ... now i have to 're' camo the boss ;)

thoughts? ideas? critics?

edit: and here they are! Boss (with new Camo-Pattern) and specialist!

the Specialist can (as you might have read in this thread) pick various guns as he is magnetized, also he can be used as a XV15 using either burstcannon or Fusionblaster!

Your new Camo-scheme really looks great!
Those improvements really added something to your Tau-force. Keep it up I want to see some FW's painted ;)

here are my 2 Kroot Gangers (Ganger and Kid)

for Firewarriors in that Scheme, check the lower Concurs ... although those pictures are not so good quality i have to make new ones

okay so here you got my Gue'vesa Gangers, in a few seconds i will have added a Groupshot of the gang!

so now, my gang is completed! is this the end? propably not!

i want to thank Shas'vre Shavaun, Brokensword and minamoto for their help!
and everyone else for the feedback!

the new camo-scheme really works better with your main colour. Now you need a smooth base design. Since it is Necromunda, a City of death theme will fit ;)
Great work and I hope, you will extend you "little" gang.
A battle report will be nice, too.

i surely will! that is the basic gang, there will be more Gangers ...

- maybe a Kroot specialist with heavy Bolter? *rawr* ...
- and/or a 'learning' drone, first like a kid with pistol and Knife (sortof) and then evolving to a gun drone, next a 'heavy' drone and getting a full body with arms and legs ...god the possibilities are endless

okay after around 6 Month i am returning to this project,

Here you can see a Heavy Kroot Ganger with Plasma Gun (a little bit inspired by Tael's 'Hulk Hounds')

this came out when i tried to make an interpretation of cross.mountains 'young Shadowsun' but during that i totaly came of the track and made this!
The right Arm is magnetized so she can use 'any' gun.

Missed this really inventive thread, sorry Che'

You have a really fresh take on composition with these pieces. I particularly like this Kroot with the Plasma Rifle.. he's packing some heat har har.

You have a necromunda gig coming up with some friends soon?

Thank you, my next plan is a 'Green Kroot' with some big Ork-Gun and an Energyclaw (inspired by Yarrik) ... we'll see how that turns out, i will have to make the torso and legs much thicker .... that will be the hardest thing, i am affraid i will have to moddel it from scratch ... never tried that.

sadly, no, i still have to convince them, but there should be some of my friends which should be easy to convince :D (i tried to get Shas'vre Shavaun to visit me for a game of necromunda ... didn't work yet ;)

I'm trying to get my friends into necro too, but I've decided to go a different route and try a 40k skirmish version so that we can use our armies instead of necro gangs. I've been in communication with some of the folks on the Dakka =][=Munda thread who have been working on rules for a 40k skirmish game based on mordheim, and I just received a pdf set of the beta rules they used for a demo game at GD Toronto. well,

i still didnt find a way to make the 'Kroot-Greenskin' or 'Green-Kroot' ... but i am on that one ...

i am now working on two things, actually it was one, but evolved to two ...

so i was up to another 'Kroot-Heavy' with a flame thrower, so i locked up 10 Cadian Soldiers in a room with one Kroot and was looking forward what would come out the room when i unlock it again.
didn't work so well because the 'Gas-Tanks' from the Cadian Flamethrower interfere with the Kroot's 'hair'.

so i sticked on a Human head on it ... but then again, i though "i want an Kroot with Flamethrower, not a Human" *cutting/gluing/greenstuffing* now it is a Gue'vesa with a nice *pimped-up* Melta gun, i guess fireing that one inside a Spaceship would blow half of the ship up *dreams* ... he will get a drone controller in the other hand and is soon ready for a Photosession.

okay, back to the 'Hot-blooded' Flamer-Kroot ... i still had a Catachan flamer and got back to work, i belive that one is the model with most Green-Stuff on that i made till now (easily is as i didnt do so much GSing till now).

i am curious how this will look, the thought of a Kroot in an Cadian Uniform is funny, maybe i should give him a copy of 'the Imperial Infantryman's Uplifting Primer' or so in his claws, that would surely look funny!

oh, for the curious of you guys, they are quite like Tael's 'Hulk Hunds'

The Kroot's Flamer rifle, such a subtle conversion but so effective. Great stuff.

Cursed two timing sod of a hulker! Jeezz.. can't hire decent crew without them skivvying off to the next highest bidder.. sheesh! How much you paying him? 2 Creds per kilo? 4? mumble..mutter..grumble..

@Joek: i'll Try to add bigger pictures

@Tael: watch out, the next Hulk your Hounds get on, the walls will be labeled with "Che was here" all over the place. ;)

i still havn't found out how to make a Kroot a bit bigger to make him a 'green Kroot'

but even worse is ... there is an idea swirling around in my head ... "Kroot'og" ... a Kroot of the size (and propably intelectual level) of an Ogryn.

but i guess both will take a while
