Hello,

I've been putting together an all old school Necron force for about a year now. I've managed to scrounge 80 metal warriors, 10 OOP Immortals and 13 OOP raiders.
I was going to use them in a doubles tournament coming up, but went with Tau instead.

I will be continuing to update the Necron's until the new Codex (hopefully in October)

On to the pictures.....

Tomb Stalker is made from cereal boxes and plastic card.

Welcome back Meckboy! I gotta say, I love what you've done with these guys. The old school models actually look great! I am amazed that you scratchbuilt that Tomb Stalker; can we get more shots of it?

What model did you use for the C'tan?

Thanks for the welcome back! Eighty OOP warriors is a pretty cool sight; Newer 40k guys all ask what they are lol.

My friend built the Tomb Stalker, it's amazing; he builds Titans,Thunderhawks, all with movable weapons and to scale. I'll have to try and find a shot of it in all it's CoCo puffs glory.

The Ctan is something I found in a box at our local store. The D&D guys use these plastic models from somewhere. I offered the owner $20.00 for him (as I dislike the Deceiver model with a passion), but he said it only cost him $5.00. So I gave him $10.00, I just wish I had the greenstuff/painting skills to do it justice.

Nice Necrons. I'm not usually a fan of drybrushed armies (or the necron way out) but yours look really good. The blue shoulderpads adds a really nice touch.

Your friends scratch-building skills are great although I'm always scared when I read someone used cardboard. Doesn't it melt/rot/shrink with paint and glue?

Anyway I look forward to more.

Thanks for the reply,

Unfortunately, dry brushing is my first foray into painting, I did try a wet mix for the blue and black shoulder pads.

The card board is unusually tough, but I did break off one of the antenna, although I'm not overtly careful about such things. He has made plastic card creations-you just have to buy the materials ahead of time. I'm going to have him make an OOP looking Stalker to match the warriors, and I'll be providing the plastic card. His Titan's (I have a Gargant) are incredible!

The sick thing is, he can paint as well as he can fabricate. I find solace in that tactically, I can table him in any system lol.

I need to work on my photography as well, I've tried to go back and blend the silver with washes. Still a novice though.
