As some of you may know from reading my post in my Tau log, I've decided it's time for a change (I've decided to keep my Tau for the time being, however. I am still open to any offers though, contact me via PM if you wish to make one).Look what came this morning! Can you guess what it is? If you guessed the following, you're correct. The Daemons are mine (minus a Daemon Prince for a friend), whereas the Dark Eldar are a friend's army which I'll be building and painting for him. My list will be as follows: Bloodthirster Bloodthirster 3x Bloodcrushers 3x Bloodcrushers 15x Bloodletters with Icon 15x Bloodletters with Icon 14x Bloodletters (Please, no list critique)I already have 3 Bloodcrushers, and approximately 30 Bloodletters; along with a Skulltaker model from Eiglepulper that may feature in larger games. As you can see, I have my work cut out for quite a while...

I've been busy! First off, Bloodthirster number one, with magnetised wings for ease of trasportation, along with multiple added Khorne symbols. Next, Bloodthirster number two, who is currently undergoing some extensions in the groin area (not that kind!). Thirdly, my three plastic Bloodcrushers. I must say, these are fantastic models, and a joy to assemble. Fourth, my single painted metal Bloodcrusher. This is also a good example of my scheme. And finally, the first of the Bloodletters to receive a lick of paint.

Woa.. those plastic bloodcrushers are a gobsmackingly sight to behold.. I envy you, Fraggle! Nice Khornate scheme as well.. I suppose you've dipped them in -dang, what was it called again..- armypainter(?) or something along that line? I know my friend, who plays Imperial Guard buildt and painted his 2.000 pts force in less the a week.. using the armypainter.. -still, I'm unsure if that is its real name..-

Woooooah woooooah woaaaaaah. They make PLASTIC bloodcrushers now???? O dear me, the reason I stopped building my daemon army was because the metal ones were too expensive... This may give me a reason to restart my list!!!!(btw, its true, daemons are actually capable of building a virtually unbeatable list. I made one, convinced myself it was unstoppable and then discovered like everyone who looked at the codex had made the same list. Broken! Haha so I made a new one, still good, but themed entirely to khorne and nurgle)
Anyways, its all looking good, and excellent idea for the BC's. Your scheme looks pretty khorny(haha) and quite awesome. Just enough bronze, just enough weathering. Are you going to decorate the bloodletters swords? I found that a mix of ultramarines blue and that real verdant green make a really epic highlight swirling around the swords to make them actually look like power weapons.
All I can add to that is skulltaker on bloodcrusher + any amount of bloodcrushers = win.

The Hellblades are most likely going to be done in the style of the Bloodcrusher's rider.
I'm not using Skullcrusher as of yet, as I'm using the twin Bloodthirsters.
The reds are several layers of varying reds, followed by multiple inks, washes, and glazes; no Armypainter dip was used.
I'd show a photo of what Ive done today, but it's really just ten Bloodletters; not a very impressive photo.
(Imagine a photo here)

Well, tonight I played against Tyranids: 1500 points, Annihilation, Pitched battle. The final score was 6-4 to my opponent. I seem to have a real problem with 'Nids, mostly due to Genestealers. Eh well.
I've now completed the construction of the entire 1500 point army, and will be uploading some photos tomorrow. However, that may be the last post for a while, as my friend's aforementioned Dark Eldar will now be the top priority.
One issue that has been raised among the regulars at my local club is the size, or more the overall stature, of the Bloodthirsters. As they are, they're a fair amount smaller than the GW model for the Bloodthirster, which is a problem both for TLoS, and for the intimidation factor. I'm considering getting some larger models; if anyone has any suggestions, feel free to post them here. At the minute, my options are: - The GW Bloodthirsters (if I can find some, as they're apparently out of production now?) - Ultraforge's Greater Daemons (very nice models, and quite big as well)

They're not out of production, they're just confusingly named on the GW site. For some reason the heading for their page is "Greater Daemon of Khorne," while the description on their page calls them "Bloothirsters of Khorne." Here's the page: Bloodthirster/Greater Daemon

Egad! No, I am not dead, merely sleeping. A lot. Anyway, I've finally gotten back into painting, and though I'd share an image of the basic skin tone for my Bloodletters, for some C&C. Swords will remain black, and be highlighted with greys or blues. Tongues will be blue and purple, depending on the unit.

More like hibernation! Though I am glad to see you getting on with your daemon army! Daemons make for some amazing visuals indeed!
Keep on steaming brah!
