I'll slowly put up more of my work as I photograph (and finish!) it.

Nice nurgle colrs too but I can't tell if you were using a flash or if the lighting is very bright

More pics of that berserker! I love those models! The mood established with color on that one is quite brutal.

Great stuff for sure. The nurgly stuff is fairly conventional, but really well executed. I'm most interested in the chaplain helm conversion, strangely. It was a triple-take moment. I looked and thought "nice chaplain model". Then I noticed the helm and thought "that looks really great... wait, where did that head come from?". Had to think about it and look closely at the WIP before it really dawned on me. Very innovative little piece there. I know it's just one small detail, but it really struck me.

Thanks one and all.

Some more pics of the Ogryn...

@ Faol: the wings are from the really old Great Spined Dragon model.

Regarding the Chaplain, he's part of an ongoing project - a small force of True Scale Lamenters. The genestealer skull helm is intended to be a relic from the Lamenter's brush with Hive Fleet Kraken.

Here are some scale comparisons with a regular (chaos) terminator, and Imperial guardsman and a true scale Lamenter...

@ Petelee: Malal is my patron deity. Check the weblink in my profile for info on the 'renegade god'.

Seems that people aren't all that familar with True Scale around here, maybe that's cos this isn't 'just-another-space-marine-forum' :D

True scale Terminators are something of a rarity and I'm still developing my technique, here are a number of old wip shots of the Terminator Chaplain and a Terminator sergeant...

At some point, when I've restocked on plasticard, I'll finish a whole squad and write up a detailed tutorial. In the meantime I'll gladly answer specific questions via PM.

Cheers, Mabrothrax :fear:

W:biggrin:W I've seen the tutorials on true scale marines on the Bolter and Chainsword forums, I have to say it seem like an intimidating conversion :-(

One a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate the difficulty of this conversion? I would like to try this one one day :)

You'll need a razor saw.

Tamiya makes good ones for plastic models. X-acto's been my brand though.

You'll need a steady hand, and preferably a small bench vice with rubber bumpers on the vise base. GW makes one now, which is fairly 'toy' like in quality/feel.

I prefer my SnapOn but can't find it at the moment to link.

You'll also need sculptable putty, and quantities of plasticard, patience, and I recommend time. This sort of thing is best done slow.

Rather than start a new topic, it made sense to dig up this one.

I have a number of armies I'd like to share with you, all in various stages of development.
Chief amongst these is my Deathguard (the above pics are very old), then there's my Sons of Malice, my Heresy Era Alpha Legion and my Squats. I paint in bursts of extreme creativity and periods of non-existence, frequently distracted by shiny things, music, studying and real life.

anyway, here's some Deathguard in various states of finished-ness:

There's lot more of these guys...

If you ask nicely though, I'll show you my Squats

Are these pre-heresy, because the colour scheme suggests pre-heresy, and the modelling suggests post-heresy. (please tell me you know what the horus heresy was)

I'm not sure I understand the question. This is part of my Deathguard army, and that is how they are modelled and painted.
