I just wish their character models would blend in a bit better with the GW models.

Very nice! I've been eyeing up the Dolphin for a while now. You say it's undersized for a Devilfish, what would its maximum transport capacity be? I was thinking along the lines of a smaller transport for a kill team or similar

I'd say the passenger compartment looks about half the size, so about 6 man. I think it's low sleek yet heavily armoured look lends it self to a command transport something used by Ethereals to get into the heart of battle. My initial thoughts were for for water caste delegates on rout for peace talks or a shuttle for air caste crewman.

Arg!I'm havign a bit of a nightmare right now. I've lost my entire archive of work (along with all my sons baby pictures) except for a the bits I've managed to share on here and social media. My main PC's mother board managed to wreck it's self and take the hard drive with it. It's not going to be a cheep fix and has been in the shop for well over a week. I had to share my frustration with you guys in hope you'll be able to back you work/files up before disaster strikes!!!

Always store such things on an external harddrive with the sole purpose of having a backup. But keep in mind that no storage medium is perfect and needs to get replaced by a new one eventually.

It totally knocked me for a loop. All my hobby mojo is drained! I'm sure I'll get back into the swing of things once I have it back up and running. I need to pull my self together soon though as I've just got another large addition to the Space Wolf/Grey Knight army commission.

Man this is rough - sorry to hear it. When Eastern-Empire was hacked it took me a while to recover from it. Keep us in the loop as things get back on track.

At this stage, only photos are what are local to ATT?

I've got quite a good back up model pictures as they are mostly stored on Photobucket for ease of sharing... Though I take pictures of paints pot per commission so I can reference them for later additions and they have all gone. It's mostly family photo's as only a few got shared on social media and the last back up was about 2 years ago. I've also lost and entire archive of GW related stuff and Music I've collected over the years... It's be fine if was something like itunes as I could just get them back... Most how ever are the last remnants of albums destroyed in a flood that happened the week we moved in 13 years ago while away at my grand funeral...

Sorry lots of over sharing but it not until you sit down to think about what gets stored on these things and how much they mean to you that it hits you how important a simple hard drive can be!

I have had a few more models to add to this Space Wolf/Grey Knights commission I must admit I've quite liked working on these.

Exquisite painting, as ever, Darklighter. Cool lighting on the 3rd Land Raider picture. Great content and inspiration here.

Why thank you.

I'm learning a lot from the Ma.K,  Gundam and Tau models I've seen Lincoln Wright paint recently over on Paint on Plastic his youtube channel

I've gotten so much from these videos I've become a patron over on his Patreon

It's been really interesting taking in ideas from an industry leading artist. He spent years learning his craft in Japanese art studios training under strict tutelage and learning his design philosophy. He also has many models featuring on the box art for Ma.K and wrote some of the background most has featured in magazine articles in several publications.

I also follow and post on his Facebook group.

I know lots of information to digest, but I found only following painters from one genre of work to get repetitive as we all fall into aesthetic trends. Anyone looking to learn how to diversify their skill range should check these links out.
