Did you round off the edges of the standard bases, or did you use something else? they almost look like the Devilfish side doors.

thanks for the comments guys ill be posting more pics soon.

Im using a mix of colours from GW and vallejo

Green = GW catachan green
Cream = vallejo pale sand & white
gold = vallejo copper brass
metal = vallejo gunmetal silver
camo = vallejo camo black brown mixed 70/30 with vallejo dark green
Lenses = GW Liche Purple

The pale sand is put on in 8 layers over a grey basecoat then highlighted with white on the edges to make a contrast

The plain bases are from a company called darkage, just a matter of adding your choice of tgerrain on to them and painting them.

I don't know if it's just me or it's the camera or anything like that because the crisis lenses don't look so cool compared to your FW's.....

great painting man i love the green and the boney/sandy color, don't worry yourself too much about the battlesuit pose. I did the exact same thing with my first suit.

All in all id say i give the paint job 8/10 great colour matching

Those are some sweet looking Battlesuits you got there. The color scheme works very nicely on the battlesuits too. :) One thing I think sorta detracts is that you've used the same color for some parts of the weapons as the lenses. Detracts from the lenses IMO.

Cheers

i have to agree about the weapons, the more i look at them the more they creep me out, i am not happy with them at all!

Think i will repaint the purple bits on the weapons pale sand to tie in with the rest of the model or just leave them black - but the purple has to go asap

Thanks for the C&C

Care to explain how you highlighted the ball joints? Did you just stipple some grey on, or is there a something more tricksy to it? It looks unusually smooth.

Wow, those are excellent. I do like the sand color a lot better than the purple. I wish I had your budget! Those FW Suits are amazing.

I agree, I think the white weapons look much better. All that purple was clashing too much I think, but with the small accents here and there it adds a really nice sense of flair. Really looking forward to more of your work. :biggrin:

@Mattrs
By the way, just came to think of one thing. Could it be possible to get some pictures taken with the flash? I know he flash greatly affects pictures, I had some revelation with my Night Lords, that look good without flash, and INSANE with the flash, as the blue lit up like crazy, and they looked insane.

I'd just like to see a pic of what these guys look like without intense lighting, I'd vager they'd look more subtle, and with your impeccable paint, I'd be intrested to see what they look like.

Cheers

Sure thing this is the only "none Flash" Photo i have at the mo, but it was taken in late evening and the room wasnt very well lit so the colours look about 30% darker than they do in person
