I guess I always imagined a Stealth Field Generator being something that wasn't 'hiding in the bushes.'

PS I still love your warmachine base idea.

Pffffft
That just proves how good stealth fields are. The bush is an illusion. ;)
@mattrs: great work man. I love the subtle variation in tone that you've achieved with the green on the Devilfish. I'm looking forward to seeing more.

That looks great, where are you guys getting your custom bases? or how do you make them?

The bases are made by myself from scratch. The blank black base is from a company called dark age. then its just cork board, sand, gravel and bits.

I think these are now my favorite tau. Yep. There's an army somewhere else on the internet that's done up in World War II Japanese colors that's pretty boss, but that one gets 'runner up' to these. They're just so well done! *envy*

Wow thank you very much

Well its been a mad 4 or 5 weeks with nota whole heck of a lot to show for it :( bloody kids lol. Have Been painting 2 devil fish and some gun drones for the Open War event in October so i hope to have them finshed and pics up soon, this will give me a fully painted 1750pts army.

But for now a break from the old tau, had a go at a test model for a possible Ork army, i know it has the odd mould line but it is just a test model and it was free.

Hi Matt,

First of all, I have flicked through your thread from start to finish and I'm really impressed with your Tau army. Motivates me to finish my 1500pts ready for September!!

Secondly, the Ork is pretty freaking awesome. You have done a great job in highlighting the level of detail in this mini - I freaking love the AOBR minis and the warboss is no exception. The only 'visible' mould line is on the forearm but even then it's not huge, so kudos.

Very nice work on the power claw, I've saved that among my various real metal painting inspirations. Good palette choice too.

Though, that mould line does detract from a great paint job I have to say.

Really nice,

Love the shades of red. Are you going to do a whole army to this standard?
