@Orpheus
and
@Shas'saal

i've take great notes of your advices, i've done a non-striped mane (lightner than the body) and done an organized pattern on the rest, but i've tried to put a bleached bone coat on the underbelly but the effect was a lil' crappy so i give up this idea

@Puretide
thanks for the comment ^^
but the XV-81 is not my commander, i post my one below :)

and some new update of my army:

Image
the final version of my Kroot Hounds, redone with the help of Orpheus and Saal

Image
my FW team all complete!! always on the same idea, graded member have a bone suit or helmet.

And finally i've done my commander recently, i'd like to play him like O'shovah or as a simple Shas'o.
I've tried to make some NMM technics on the shield and sword. i also add a rising sun in the reflect of the sword. After all isn't it call the Dawn Blade? ;)

Wow, I love that battlesuit! The strips of cloth are a very nice touch.

I kept looking at the case and saying wow that would be nice to have hehe. The army looks nice and I like the idea that you've painted a little more personality into the Dawnblade. The kroot hounds look awsome I love the look of them just not sure they'd sit next to the other kroot very well (at least not the way mine are painted but that can all be changed just ignore me). Have you got a Kroot squad done to put next to them for comparison?

THERE ya go; that's looking a lot better, my friend! :) And remember, if you play that suit as O'Shovah, you won't be able to field your awesome Kroot conversions ;) my sis and I are LOVING the rising sun on the Dawn Blade, and the suit as a whole is simply magnificent. To me, it almost looks like something an Ethereal would pilot should he have no choice but to take up arms :crafty:

this has to be the coolest human axillary army i have ever seen. personally, I think that the hounds would look better each being a little different and being more brown/grey but that's my personal opinion and if you like tigers, that's your decision :)

Martial, I hope you don't mind but I used the image of your Farsight on this (great) thread.

viewtopic.php?f=22&t=12250&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=0

Check it out, it has a total of 18 (will be 20) Forgeworld Crisis suits.

thank you all for the kind comments :biggrin:
i really appreciate your support, it keep me motivate for the future of this project.

i post here my WIP planning, i think i will finish the first part of my army in june or something like that...

DONE

Commander
10 assault auxiliaries
4 tiger-hounds
7 support auxiliaries

TO DO

2nd Commander
2 Crisis
10 assault auxiliaries
4 tiger-hounds
12 markers
2 Devilfishs
2 Sniper drone teams
2 Hammerheads

@Darklighter
sorry but i haven't any kroots models in my house to compare :-?
but they are really biggers than the originals.

@Agentarrow
well the base color is a melt of Blazing orange, vomit brown and golden yellow.
i think i could replace vomit brown by a bestial brown to get a different color on the final degrade.
and next, simply shifting the hounds between squads.

@Rus'el
no problem man,
i don't care about the way those pictures are used, if they could gives some ideas for other peoples. ;)

I am totally going to steal your idea for converting stormtrooper models as gue'vesa warriors.

In between bouts of homework from my 18 credits I'm working on writing up a full Gue'Vesa codex.
The "born an raised" gue'vesa troops that have been in the tau empire for several generations would have armor up to tau standards and be trusted with more better weapons than the more recent immigrants represented by the GW gue'vesa. The basic troopers having 4+ armor and twice as many pulse weapons (up to 6 per squad), as well as the option to be mounted in a devilfish for 8 or 11 points each (equipped with a lasgun and pulse weapon respectively).
Their elite units would be equipped with surplus xv-15 suits that were mostly stripped of components to speed xv-25 production. The suits lack stealth components, about half lack jump capability, and most lack weapons. 14pts per 3+ armor save st4 gue'vesa'ui armed with pulse weapons in squads of 4-8. Up to 2 suits can be equipped with certain battlesuit weapons for additional cost, The entire squad may be upgraded to jump infantry for ~4 pts each, and a gue'vesa'vre may be equipped with a pulse carbine and "emp blade", a reinforced honor blade which confers the abilities of the emp nade to all of the models attacks, as well as lowering the effective armor save of enemy models by one grade.

That sounds awesome Kise'el, but don't you think the tau would upgrade the standard lasgun with some of their own technology? After all, they did this with the kroot. I think this would be cool if their lasguns had slightly better stats than normal. Just a thought. As a side note, I really like the stealthsuit idea.

I have been watching this army form from the start, and instantly loved your kasrkin/firewarrior conversions. I think, with that paintscheme, they just look perfect. Keep up the good work!

few!!

finally my boss have decided to release my chains!!

the last month, i've decided to play a short part of my army in an Apocalypse battle.

all i have to say is...MORE RAILGUNS!!! :dead: :dead: :dead:
so always on the same red line, i converted a Vulture in a Tigershark A-X-01 to give the punch who seems to miss the last time :smile:

(i've to buy a Skyray to get the six missing missiles on my aircraft)

here some photos:

I like the way you have made it look "almost" Tau by adding Tau-bits.

And are the windows scratch-built?

I still can't get over how awesome the kasrkin conversions look; I believe the Vulture/Tiger Shark will look much better after being painted(not that it doesn't look good now!) :biggrin:

@Ultralemming
yup, but i didn't think about it yet. maybe red with a Bleached bone "stamp-camo".

@Fraggle

it is ;)

it's a long story about a wrong purchase on the forgeworld website, i received a Vulture in place of a Barracuda.
i finally decide to keep the model cos' i find it really beautiful.
and the last week, one of my friend saw the model and say "if i were you, i included this one in your auxiliary army"...

it didn't take long before i bought a hammerhead to get a new devilfish for my pathfinder team and the necessary Railgun for the conversion!! :D

This is something along the lines of the colour scheme I was initially thinking. Seeing how it works so well I might revert to it. But what colour of red are you using ?
