Can't believe I missed this! The new pose looks great and the added Missile Launchers are awesome. Just make sure you glue them on straight! :)

Oh they're magnetized :D dunno why I did it, but it works! I'm still waiting on my Paulsonsgames bits to come in for his railguns to be rigged to be underslung or attached over his shoulders if he is going to use the railguns and plasma rifles.

Hey guys!
Time for a small update, nothing major, just a bit more paintwork done.
I am still not where I would like to be with the paint and I was wondering if people have ideas on how to clean it up a bit better or an opinion on whether I strip him and repaint it all over again.

Okay guys!
I finally did some work on his knees, I made some cut down FW shoulderpads as kneecaps and added GS to make a stronger looking join.
Then I made 2 additional weapons, loosely based off of Armored Core 4, the counts as rail gun and the wrist blade thingy. (the rail gun is based off of Netho's XV88 conversions)

Nice update Termie. Like I said, the addition of the Missile Pods is great; although the one looks a little crooked. I also like the added sprue weapon; very cool! As for repainting him, if you feel you can do better, I say give it a go! Oh and if you do strip him, try filing down some of the bumpy or rough greenstuff areas into a more flat surface.

The female stealth pilot shows that your sculpting abilities are improving. Despite the model not really being my style, I have to give credit where credit is due! :)

Ok as far as gs work goes...I just ripped off the gs on his waist and remade it with plasticard. I wonder if it will look better once I strip and repaint him.

Great stuff Termy, really coming together nicely. I'll be starting on a Mk2 version of my one soon, making a slightly more dynamic posed. keep up the good work :)

Hi guys!
Well, I did redo the abdomen plating, I am much happier with it because it was my first serious attempt with plasticard and it came out pretty evenly.

Okay guys, is threadomancy okay if its my own thread?
Anyways I stripped the XV90 and did some minor work on him.

Note: if the guns look crooked, it is because they are magnetized in place, I am competent enough to make them straight if I decide to glue them :P

Also something epic for my Imperials that I am working on, points to who can guess who it is :D

Looks as if everything is coming together and the plasticard does seem to fit better then in your earlier post. I do like the fact that the suit is appropriately heavy for it's purpose. Though I have to ask, and I may not have caught it while browsing through your post...but where did you get those weapons for the top of the jump pack?

And of course second, I would claim that to be an attempt at Rogal Dorn...but I could be wrong. I am curious as to where you acquired the bitz to create a unique looking SM suit? And if it is Dorn, that visage will make my Templars swell with pride. It looks really good...it'll look amazing upon total completion.

Yessir Ar'ka, it is indeed Dorn, blessed be his name. i got the base model from Scibor minis, the spartan warrior model, then did a head and arm swap. Now for the '90 I used the long railguns from paulson games.

Thread necromancy is always excused when it's your own thread and there's actual progress to post. :D

Looking sweet so far.

Well yesterday I found myself doodling in my sketchbook and I think I drew something kind of cool, a self portrait of me as a space marine :D Now behold my artistic prowess...or lack of it....

I think my face looks a bit weird..my lips aren't that.. odd... I might redo the face entirely, hence why I didnt outline it...

Hey guys, quick question, he still has the same red parts on his armor but I was thinking, would a lighter gray look better for the secondary and what other color can I use to break up the colors?

Grey would be good to use as a color for breaking up the red, Black works just as well also, pretty much any dark color would be suitable.

Here is the XV-90 as of 10 minutes ago! I think the red looks better but still looks a little splotchy (not too many good lines on it, like my Space Marine models have) I am trying to do a better glow effect on the eye, but I ran out of white paint :dead: but no matter, I also think I am the first person I have seen to paint the Paulson Pattern rail-guns (haven't really seen anyone here paint them.) I am pretty content but there is always room to improve. What colors should I do the Sept Markings in? I was thinking White...

Its looking pretty good. Are the globs of red paint that I see, just a variation of red? Or fresh paint?

As for the sept markings...white would definitely stand out against the red. As would something like Golden or Sunburst yellow. Blues are sadly out since they fill the role of illumination on this suit.

So look into yellow or white as a test run and see what you think.

the globs on the lower arms and guns are fresh paint, drying as I took the pictures ;) unfortunately the resin guns look great but because of the work I did on the model the red is a bit worse on him, but better than before.
