This is a Long short story (novel if I get lucky enough) that goes hand in hand with The Suddenstrike Cadre. Don't worry my writing gets much much better when the action begins. Well anyway I'll jump in now. If there are any questions feel free to ask, as I believe that at first this might be just a little bit confusing (mainly for me!)
PROLOUGE part 1 of 2:
Shas'O Vior'la Mont'yon Shi'kais Piet'na examined the tactical display of the terrain that would become his theatre of war. He noticed a small city about half way between an abandoned hive city and the main concentration of Mont'au forces. O Mont'yon had received orders from the Commanding Shas'o that the Savagestrike Cadre was to prevent the enemy from getting past this point at all costs. He sighed deeply, his cadre was large (about twice the size of a normal one) but still the city was not a bottle neck. There were a dozen other places for the Mont'au to advance through in force.
The plan at the moment was to allow the enemy to advance as far as it could before meeting it in battle would be the only choice left. The cadre would be split in half. El U'uash'o and El Nars'nan would deploy to the north, ready to rain death upon an unsuspecting foe once the unwitting gue'la reached a complex system of ravines and canyons. O Mont'yon himself and El T'pel would take the other half and prepare to deploy from mantas into the city so as to crush the advanced forces of the Mont'au.
In theory this Particular implementation of the killing blow would work flawlessly. Deployment, however; had never been the strong point of his cadre. Once on the ground and slugging it out the complete barely restrained yet perfectly directed savagery that the Savagestrike was famous for could be unleashed. They would streak through the ruins of the city systematically crushing a single specific enemy at a time. Dozens of Fire Warriors, waves of Piranhas, and a healthy complement of Hammerheads. But this was not where the cadre excelled, he thought to himself. The Savagestrike's true savagery was reserved for the battle suit pilots. He would lead them himself, coming down upon the Mont'au like the fury of the heavens.
This was his purpose, although forever separated from the Tau'va by his cold brutality, he could still serve it. His orders were simple, "Buy the Suddenstrike Cadre time to engage and eliminate the Necron threat. O Mont'yon began to laugh quietly to himself... this would be fun!
Sorry for the fact that the prologue will be kinda long, please hang in there.

At any rate, good stuff, albeit slow to hook. Still very good. Looking forward to the city fight.

Here it is, part 2. Hopefully by tommorow I will be able to begin the city fight and let my true literary skills show. Once again sorry for the slow start.
PROLOUGE part 2 of 2:
Mont'yon's cold chuckle ended dryly as El T'pel entered his quarters with a worried look and scent. She walked up to him with purpose ignoring formalities, "You need to maintain your control. If an Ethereal sees you like this you will be sent to a mental institution again."
The Shas'o released a grim smile, "I doubt it, the Empire has come to rely on my savagery to get the job done on more than one occasion. Don't forget that I am a weapon."
"I'm sorry; I did not mean any insult." She took a cautious step towards him, "I was only concerned for my superior."
"The only reason I outrank you is out of necessity. I am only an O out of necessity, they simply promoted me so that I could give orders to U'uash'o, Nars'nan, and you."
"Understood, on a different note I have received new intel on the situation. The mont'au cultists are not progressing at the rate we originally believed, however; there has been a sighting of an advance force moving towards the city we would already be deploying in. I would suggest that we redeploy the secondary detachment to cut off their retreat. They can also set up the mobile field base while waiting."
"Then make it so, as long as we are fighting for the Tau'va I am satisfied."
"I shall relay the message to the Cadre immediately."

Alright, here it is, the first chapter. Things are about to heat up. Please comment, good AND bad. I need to know honest opinions (please moderaters, let me get bashed if it feels honest) if I'm going to improve.
I don't know for sure how many parts the chapters are going to have until I write them so please bare with me.
CHAPTER 1 part 1 of 6:
El T'pel glanced around before she entered her battle suit. Mont'yon was already within the cockpit of his, standing resplendent between his bodyguards, Vre Aloh'cha and Vre Kak'eldi. She knew that once on the surface the Fireknife configured suits would be devastating, yet in the confines of a manta they lacked their... their... their intimidating presence. She could not quite figure out why. T'pel waved the thought aside and clambered into her own XV-8 and began the activation sequence.
The experienced Shas'O fought back the anticipation building in his chest. He thought he might erupt if the counter attack didn't begin soon. He briefly glanced over at the Crushing Rampage. He knew that casually naming vehicles was simple sentimentality, but it helped keep the pilots from taking unnecessary risks once they became attached to the machine. The Rampage's ion cannon turned slowly from side to side almost colliding with the rail-gun of its sister tank, the Noble Endeavor. On the other side of the Rampage sat Piercing Honor, it too was going through preliminary checks. All the vehicles about to be deployed from the many mantas at his disposal had been ready for almost a dec, but his warriors were restless.
Klaxons blared! The enemy had arrived at the city! They could launch the assault! They could make the killing blow! The hatch of the manta opened up. Mont'yon leapt out, his jets and gravitic motors roaring into life. T'pel followed with the other nine battle suits of the first detachment. Next came the tanks, then the hatches closed. Each of the modified mantas could only carry a select amount of equipment. Mont'yon glanced around to see the other craft releasing devilfish and piranhas in bulk. On one of the devilfish he spotted six Vespid, clinging on to make the high-altitude drop before letting go to fly on their under their own power.
The Hammerheads ‘landed' perfectly on Main Street in a delta formation, the Rampage leading with its flechette dischargers readied. The Vespid and piranha adopted positions behind the grav-tanks to provide clean-up. On the far left flank amidst the myriad allies three devilfish came to bare, with the other three taking the right. The Crisis suits would travel through it all, using their ability to quickly jump across great distances to provide extra fire power where ever it was needed. Mont'yon and his guards had deployed ahead of the rest, taking a forward position, wounding the enemy forces before leaping behind a building leaving the cultist to pursue an adversary they could never catch.
The battle had finally begun and there was no way that O Mont'yon would allow the mission to be a failure. He leapt to the top of a building to appraise his prey. Aloh'cha and Kak'eldi followed suit, providing him with several suggestions. "I think we should hit their vehicles first, gue'la armor can't stand up to a few good missiles!"
Aloh'cha broke in, "It would be a wise choice. We are well equipped to engage their transports, but team Firestorm is even better suited. I would suggest we simply take shots at whatever we come across, we can cause confusion before the main force arrives. To drive them into the second detachment."
The commander cut both of them off, "Good ideas, but mine is better." He gestured into the distance with his plasma rifle at a small group of bulky red figures in the distance. "It's been awhile since I last got a chance to hunt Space Marines. They are few, but still the greatest threat to our plan. They are the least likely to retreat into the waiting mouth of U'uash'o's forces. THEY are our prey!" He fought back the laughter creeping up his throat, he WOULD remain in control.

The next instalment, I'll admit I'm not that proud, but I'll need some critisizem to improve. Here's hoping you enjoy... and I get better.
CHAPTER 1 part 2 of 6:
El T'pel had been assigned to leading the main force while Mont'yon fought ahead to acquire a better idea of the enemy forces, and to weaken their formations. She was proud of the responsibility. U'uash'o might be given command of the second detachment, but she had the honor of leading alongside the hunter of battle himself. She fired her air bursting fragmentation projector above some ruble that a small group of las gun armed cultist were using as cover, the were shredded into bloody tatters within a single moment.
She could not fail the Shas'O; she had long ago sworn allegiance to him at the academy. In a training accident she had almost been crushed by a battle suit with a malfunctioning jet pack. Mont'yon had shoved her out of the way and nearly lost his leg under the machine. He had been lucky enough to only suffer a few broken bones, but she would not have been.
"Shas'el, this is Ui J'kaara'ka of team Firestorm, we have encountered an unusually large pocket of resistance and are requesting assistance from team Deathrain. It appears they have acquired large numbers of the Imperial walkers."
T'pel replied without hesitation, "Message received, sending assistance." She switched to a direct comm with Ui Run'ran, "Head immediately to the location of team Firestorm, they have engaged a large number of sentinels, too many for them to handle alone."
The Shas'ui remained silent but a green indicator light flashed in T'pel's HUD. T'pel dove to the side, an awkward maneuver in an XV-8, to dodge the blast from the las-cannon mounted on a small impromptu tank. "Shyh'am!" she swore inwardly to herself, she had gotten sloppy. Before another shot could be fired she let loose a volley of plasma, eating away at the gore-splattered and rusted armor. With a dull thump it became a scrap heap, adding to the apparent desolation of what had once been a thriving city.
Chiding herself she continued on, catching up to the tanks and transports that were quickly clearing the ruins of Mont'au blood cultists. As she went T'pel took potshots with her rifle and projector, making short work of the enemy. As she went she encountered the Vespid team, they were pinned behind a building by tumults of las-fire. Landing gently beside them she raised her rifle in salute. The Mal'kor'ui's helm translated its request into a smooth, yet mechanical voice, "Pardon, Shas'el. We can not continue further, my brood would perish in the flood of maliciously intended laser fire."
T'pel wondered briefly why the equipment had translated the insectoid language into such a sophisticated dialect, before shoving the thought aside, "Prepare to make your charge, I shall supply covering fire." She leapt to the rooftop after sending a few rounds over the building with her projector. The Stingwings flew past her as she released a torrent of plasma at the cultists. The entire cluster was swiftly dispatched in either searing heat or sonic blasts. The only casualty being the paint of her suit, which had been bubbled off by the enemy's frantic shots.

Mont'yon, so far I like what I have read and am enjoying the story so far. I would like to reserve judgement a little longer until I see more and can think about the flow of the store and character a little. But good start and I want more to read.

Thanks for the complement, here in a couple of days I'll have a little flashback that I think you'll enjoy. I don't blame you for waiting to judge, if I were you I would also like to read more first.

Ok I'm getting close to the flashback I mentioned earlier. But this isn't it and the next post won't be either. Here's to the readers and their health, please feel free to comment.
CHAPTER 1 part 3 of 6:
Ui J'kaara'ka dove behind the shelled out skeleton of an apartment complex where the rest of team firestorm was taking cover. So far they had eliminated four of the sentinels, but the enemy had come in force. Some how they had acquired nearly a dozen of the clumsy machines, armed with a combination of auto cannons and las-cannons. His team was running low on missiles and Kai'au had lost his burst cannon to one of the crude Gue'la projectiles. They had been reduced to darting from cover to cover, taking pot shots and trying to avoid getting outmaneuvered. They could not last much longer.
Three of the cultist machines rounded the corner, spelling out the death of she Shas'uis with an upcoming barrage. J'kaara'ka raised his weapons, intent on going down swinging. Before he could let loose so much as a single pulse round, the machines crumpled under a massive volley of Tau missiles. Team Deathrain had arrived, not a single moment too soon.
"I heard you three could use some help. I'm not surprised, you never did know your limits." J'kaara'ka thought he had never been happier to hear a familiar voice, even if it was one he rarely heard. Run'ran had always been quietly spoken, strange for a Shas from the sept of Vior'la. But she was accurate, and dependable. Qualities he would take any day over volume.
He did not retort to the mild insult but instead issued orders, "Take the left flank, you'll find the remains of a medical facility, it look sturdy enough for you take a vantage point on the roof. We'll go through this... habitation unit." With that he blew a hole in its wall and led the rest of his team through.
Y'kar'rashi hesitated as he entered, he had never liked small spaces. But he followed J'kaara'ka without question. He took a last glance at team Deathrain as they jumped towards the abandoned hospital. He knew that J'kaara'ka was right to give them the better vantage point, and he had always been thrilled by going down the center, but he didn't want to go down the center of a hallway barely big enough for a stealth suit.
Run'ran, D'mont, and Mek'mont'da landed gently on the roof, not trusting Gue'la construction. Run'ran stared as she caught sight of seven of the ungainly walkers. With a blink of her indicator light she signaled her team to let loose at the ones in the rear. Missiles traveled far, but the large Gue'la slugs traveled further. Another two fell to the first explosive volley of the battle suits. Before they could come to face the Tau assailing them another cloud of missiles tore into them.
Team Deathrain moved to the crouched on the building as auto cannons peppered the walls they had stood upon. J'kaara'ka's squad tore out of one of the apartments, sending pulse fire and more missiles towards the sentinels before leaping to take cover behind another Gue'la structure.
The few remaining blood cultists instantly forgot about three Shas'uis that had so thoroughly thinned their numbers from the hospital roof. Run'ran and here team mates took the chance to release a final torrent of missiles, finishing off the three remaining machines.

I finally decided how many parts the first chapter would have, if anyone cares. The flashback will be tomorrow and I'm hoping it is something I can be proud of. If going between so many characters is getting confusing, just tell me. If it is I'll start making it a little bit simpler. Hope you enjoy!
CHAPTER 1 part 4 of 6:
The Crushing Rampage tore its way through a swarm of cultists clogging the main roadway, waves of shrapnel from the flechette dischargers turning them into shredded and bloody tatters. Vre Xar'taal turned the tank to the side while maintaining the forward motion, using the backwash of the engines to roast a Gue'la with a heavy bolter. Ui Sho'ka, the weapons coordinator kept a constant barrage of Ion bursts and missiles blazing ahead of the tank formation.
Behind the Rampage, forming a wedge formation came the Endeavor and Honor. Although not equipped with flechette dischargers they kept a steady stream of sub munitions and pulse fire pumping into the enemy, who could only retaliate with waves of las-fire, which did nothing more than singe paint. The three hammerheads were yet to encounter any true threat to their thick Fio'tak hides.
A klaxon in the cockpit of the Crushing Rampage went off, artillery. A massive shell nearly impacted with the Piercing Honor, stopped at the last second by a decoy drone. Never the less one of its burst cannons was shredded by the explosion, and the tank was forced off its course. Vre Xar'taal would not let one of the Hammerheads in his formation be destroyed so easily. He opened the comm, "Crushing rampage to Piranha formation Lightning Forge, do you read?"
The comm crackled slightly before the reply was heard, "This is Vre Suam'ta, we read. What do'ya need?"
Suam'ta had always been informal, but he could have at least spoken properly, "We're receiving fire from Gue'la artillery. We cannot currently engage, requesting assistance."
"Understood!" replied Suam'ta joyously. Five fusion blaster armed Piranhas streaked past the grav tanks, Xar'taal could barely discern the blurs as they sped by at full speed.
Piranha squadron Lightning Forge was well known by those with knowledge of the strike cadres. It had been lead by the same Shas for many Tua'cyr, and had only lost three vehicles total in its career. The lost skimmers were readily replaced and re-crewed. Although it was rare for a Tau to become obsessed with speed, it did happen from time to time. Lead by Suam'ta and his personal Piranha, the Solar Eruption, it had almost never failed to end its prey.
The Shining Herald, the wing skimmer of the Eruption, released its gun drones before gaining altitude to dodge a squad of Gue'la. Although the drones could not deploy properly at this velocity, they did make effective projectiles.
The squadron sighted its prey down a pot-holed street. A single Basilisk was sitting in a crater, firing the occasional shell towards the Savagestrike Cadre's first detachment. Unfortunately it did have a guard. One of the ungainly, smoke belching, barely mobile Gue'la tanks called Leman Russes. The rest of the Squadron deployed their drones and relayed orders to them, before circling around.
The drones rushed at the Basilisk, whose crew leapt off its platform in a futile attempt to avoid their deaths. The tank fired its cannon at the drones, destroying several and scattering those that remained intact. From behind it came squadron Lightning Forge. They closed into range of their fusion weapons, and turned the rusting heap of metal into a molten heap of metal. As the fuel tanks and engine exploded they scattered liquid plasteel in all directions, forcing one of the squadron's gunners to remove his helmet hurriedly when several drops splattered on it slowly scorching through the Fio'tak.
The Squadron turned back to return to their escort duty after issuing new orders to the remaining gun drones, seek and destroy!

Shas'O Mont'yon I know you have been wondering why no one is posting to this but no need you are doing a good job at least from my perspective. Forgive me if I am asking to much but could you add in a special sect of the space marines I have been working on I'll talk to you about it later ok thank you.

I know that it is still only getting up and going. But none the less it could be helpful to hear the opinions of people so far. Such as if having so many characters so soon is getting confusing. The number may possible double in chapter two.

Hey Shas'O Mont'yon. Been reading this for a while and have really liked it so far, but since you asked I figured I might as well give my opinions.
First off, I'll admit that the number of characters is a little hard to keep up with, but I think it might just be because I'm reading it one section at a time. This means that when you go back to talking about one of the earlier characters I have to go back and try to remember, "Now what was the 'El's name again?" I think this sort of comes with the territory as far as 'writing in installments' goes, especially towards the beginning of a story. I think as it progresses and the character get more developed it'll be easier to follow.
Second, there are some things I'm really liking. For instance, the whole idea of the 'bloodlust' commander; that sort of thing has been done to death with Space Marines but is really interesting with Tau, given how it might not go over well with the higher-ups. Also, the last section witht he tanks was cool (though I'll admit I'm a big fan of them, so its probably just personal). Is this fight based on an actual (ie tabletop) battle you fought? A few of the details seem like they're straight from a Battle Report .

Don't worry, after a second thought about the number of characters I've decided not to introduce the second detachment for a little while. Also I do plan on adding in a little character guide. It will have the Names, ranks, septs of origin, name translation, and finally what they do. I may even add some character traits.
The battle is not based off of one from a table top, though now that you mention it, it could make an interesting scenario. I just write like that I guess.
P.S. YAY! I have fans.

Alright, today I'm not continueing the story, instead I shall post a character list. I will add to this as more characters are in the story. I hope this helps.
Savagery equates un-Tau like traits and what got them assigned to this particular strike cadre.
Commanders:
Name: Mont'yon
Translation: battle hunter
Rank: O
Home Sept: Vior'la
Job/Duty: Leads the entire Savagestrike Cadre, directly leads the first detachment
Traits: Slightly schitzophrenic, to a point. This kicks in when death approaches. Normally moderatly calm, this is self imposed. His strategic and tactical knowledge and skills are extremely well developed, unfortunately these can be forgotten from time to time in combat.
Savagery: He can go bezerk from time to time. This has been slightly developed with exposure to a sect of rebel Space Marines.
Name: T'pel
Translation: Predator (I'm not sure on this one though)
Rank: El
Home Sept: Vior'la
Job/Duty: Second in command of the first detachment, extra insurance incase Mont'yon has his ‘issues'
Traits: She is tactically minded despite the fact she lacks talent on the larger strategic level. Calm and collected she can help bring Mont'yon back to himself.
Savagery: She has a strange attraction to brutality.
Name: U'uash'o
Translation: Unwanted command (irony anyone)
Rank: El
Home Sept: Sa'cea
Job/Duty: leader of the second detachment
Traits: He dislikes his own rank. Although his own tactical and strategic skills rival those of Mont'yon he has almost comeplete apathy for his rank. Many have sworn that he comes from Au'taal, due to his lazyness. However he always gets the job done.
Savagery: Basically he got mad at his promotion and punched a Shas'O before chasing a Por'vre around the room.
Name: Nars'nan
Translation: stone sword
Rank: El
Home Sept: T'au
Job/Duty: Second in command of the second detachment
Battle Suit pilots:
Name: Aloh'cha
Translation: cold calm
Rank: Vre
Home Sept: T'olku
Job/Duty: Body guard of Mont'yon
Traits: Exactly what his name implies. He is outwardly very cold and almost always very calm.
Savagery: He comepletely lacks compasion in his proffesional efforts and killed many Gue'las after they had surrendered.
Name: Kak'eldi
Translation: sand wing
Rank: Vre
Home Sept: Ksi'm'yen
Job/Duty: Body guard of Mont'yon
Name: Run'ran
Translation: obscure bravery
Rank: Ui
Home Sept: Vior'la
Job/Duty: leader of Ta'ro'cha Deathrain
Traits: Although an unassuming individual he is incredibly reliable. To this purpose his suit carries modified and extremely powerful communication equiptment to make sure he can be contacted.
Savagery: He takes too much satisfaction in his work.
Name: D'mont
Translation: twin death
Rank: Ui
Home Sept: Vash'ya
Job/Duty: member of Ta'ro'cha Deathrain
Name: Mek'mont'da
Translation: Safe Shadow
Rank: Ui
Home Sept: Fi'rios
Job/Duty: member of Ta'ro'cha Deathrain
Name: J'kaara'ka
Translation: mirrored strike
Rank: Ui
Home Sept: Sa'cea
Job/Duty: leader of Ta'ro'cha Firestorm
Traits: He is fond of "going up the center" (yes I did get that from the book Fulgrim), his suit bares many battle scars as he also supports the theory of "if it still works, leave it" (sorta my twist on "if it ain't broke, don't fix it")
Savagery: Exactly what it says for traits, he likes to take things just a little too front on and doesn't like his things in proper order or repair.
Name: Kai'au
Translation: Great terror
Rank: Ui
Home Sept: Tau'n
Job/Duty: member of Ta'ro'cha Firestorm
Name: Y'kar'rashi
Translation: Exiled one
Rank: Ui
Home Sept: Vior'la
Job/Duty: member of Ta'ro'cha Firestorm
Traits: Very, very claustraphobic. His suit has even been modified with shorter antennas, a shortened burst cannon, and even a pair of blunt oversized blades, so that he can if neecesary push down the walls as they "close in".
Savagery: He once injured his old team leader while travalling through a series of tunnels. Since then he has gained a fair amount of control over his fear.
Vehicle Crew
Name: Suam'ta
Translation: soul fire
Rank: Vre
Home Sept: Bork'an
Job/Duty: Pilot of the Solar Eruption, and leader of Piranha squadron Lightning Forge
Traits: He loves speed and has reflexes that would make even the quickest Eldar feel impressed. He is confident if maybe even a little over-confident. He has a mild dislike of authority and is known to slip between causual and formal speech.
Savagery: His addiction of speed rivals that of many Ork cults. He is known to disobey orders from time to time, when it means he has to go slow.
Name: Tyr
Translation: gaze
Rank: Ui
Home Sept: Dal'yth
Job/Duty: Gunner of the Solar Eruption member of Piranha Squadron Lightning Forge
Name: Xar'taal
Translation: armored preservation
Rank: Vre

Mont'Yon, I have been thinking about the number of characters and the apperant confusion in the first few sections. I think it is going well, and I have enjoyed it a lot. Especially the suit battle and tank scene.
I think that if it appears to be a little confusing, remember, the story jumped right to a major conflict and is a highly dymanic theater. You can bring in the history and back grounds as they go along and I think everyone will catch up. The name and background info does help though and will keep everything straight.
Good overall job IMHO, and keep it coming.

Here it is, the post with the flashback. Don't worry, it does apply. Hope you like it. I won't add the human characters to the list, their names should be pretty easy to remember. Hope you like it. It might not make sense right now. But it will with the next post. Just a word of warning if you want to wait so that it will be easier to understand. I thought it was pretty simple, but I wrote it... so... ya....
CHAPTER 1 part 5 of 6:
Mont'yon fired off a couple of his missiles while his body guards did the same. They began to duck from building to building as they closed in on the marines. As they had came within range to get a clear view they had been appalled to find that the armor of the enhanced Gue'la had not been painted red, but was smothered in fresh blood! Running at their lead was a massively bulky figure, wielding a ridiculously large mace that spilt blood in an immense profusion.
The suit pilots leapt to a rooftop to unleash the burning wrath of their plasma rifles only to see that the Bezerkers had vanished. Mont'yon hurriedly issued orders as he jumped down to the street, "Be wary, I don't want either of you dying because of Mont'au trickery." As he landed he found that he himself had fallen for an illusion of the Mont'au. Out of the air appeared the quarry they had been pursuing. As the first chain weapon struck his armor, he roared fresh commands into his comm as the battle rage took him, "DO NOT ENGAGE! THEY WOULD ONLY KILL YOU TOO! RETURN TO THE CADRE!" as impact after impact shook him inside his suit his mind began to fade away. Darkness was creeping across the edges of his consciousness, lapping away at his awareness. As the Chaos champion swung his massive bleeding mace at the chest of his suit, he SAW his death approaching. This was the end, this was oblivion, this was defeat! Mont'yon passed out.
Shas'el Mont'yon Shi'kais popped his shoulder as he looked up and down at the hulking figure before him. He had been sent to secure the cooperation of several allied chapters of rebel Space Marines. From the equipment adorning the Astartes captain's power armor he could see the signs of trade with the Tau Empire that had been going on for many Tau'cyr. The emissaries and diplomats of the Por simply could not appeal to the martial mind of the Gue'la super soldiers. Some high up Ethereal had decided that it would be a good idea to ‘lend' several battle suit equipped Shas'vres in exchange for the help of the Space Marines in an upcoming campaign. They were not to join the Empire, a the Ethereals believed that if Space Marines joined in mass, he Imperium of Man would see this as a great enough threat as to demand its full and complete attention.
Apparently this alliance had not been deemed that important. Mont'yon was a bit of an outcast, unable to control his aggression, he had become part of the strike cadre project. He had to admit that the Space Marine was imposing, his eyes spoke of calm calculation, but at the same time they screamed of recklessness. He had said that his name was Alpha Justinian Swordborn, apparently a reference to the shining black blade strapped across the warriors back pack. So far the Alpha had introduced him to commanders from the other chapters. A shadowy figure with what Mont'yon had assumed to be a wiry frame for a Space Marine was representing the Ghost Riders. An incredibly broad Marine was representing the Exetimus Masters. A tall Astartes with scales sparsely scattered across his face had been introduced as Par, he was apparently the highest ranked member of the Pyro Dragons. Justinian himself represented the Truth Seekers.
Somehow Mont'yon had been foolish enough to accept a challenge from the Ghost Rider. Justinian was sizing the Tau up. He appeared to be impressed by the heavy frame of Vior'la. About a dec later Mont'yon had been escorted from his manta to a training ground outside of the main compound. He had been told to come with his suit and had done so. The location of the mock battle was in a small wooded area. As he understood it the Ghost Rider would be using a bike. This would be easy, he might not be able to jump, but the marine would crash.
Before the battle had begun Justinian had patched his way into Mont'yon's comm system. Mont'yon's original theories that the battle would end quickly vanished instantly. One second the bike mounted Astartes was there, the next he was gone and the sound of the roaring engine was coming from everywhere at once. The marine had bragged that he would not fire a single shot, but would cripple the suit in hand to hand combat. It appeared that plan would sadly work. With a crash of underbrush the bike came through the forest, Mont'yon took his chance and released a stream of paint from his mock plasma rifle. There was no rider! From the branches above fell the Ghost Rider. He firmly grasped the suits arm with both of his and began to crack and strain the Fio'tak carapace.
Mont'yon could feel his rage tearing at him as he fought it back. His opponent's combat knife was slowly wreaking havoc upon the external systems of the suit. He heard the deep voice of Justinian in his head, "Trust yourself, do not hold back, fight with everything. You are holding back, that can only ever result in defeat. Do you think you will hurt those you want safe? Do not limit and attempt to control your aggression, let it be free. If you don't want to cause collateral, direct your savagery, guide you brutality. But let it be free!"
Mont'yon leapt forward, pushing his jets to their full capacity. He tore a limb from a tree, and swung it at his adversary. It connected and shattered into a thousand splinters. With the marine off balance he pressed his advantage. Clasping the Ghost Rider by the waist, he began to ram him through trees and shrubs, debris and dirt. A red light appeared on his HUD, and the Shas sent the Space Marine flying into the branches above. The conflict had been settled. Justinian emerged clapping and smiling openly, exposing his enlarged canines. Beside him stood Par, shouting his congratulations openly. Mont'yon himself began to smile, release felt good. As long as he maintained purpose, he could fight to his full. He laughed openly, he could no longer remain part of the Tau'va, he never had truly been part of it. All he knew was war and death. But the Tau'va needed protection, and he would be the guardian of Greater Good until he was killed. He had his niche. He had his resolve!

Sorry everyone but I won't be posting today, to make it up I'll probably both finish chapter one and begin chapter two tommorow. Once again I apologize for having to do it late. I got held up by parent teacher confrences at shool. MY DAD COULD GET LOST IN A BOX! He needed me to guide him around. I don't get it every year my teachers always say exactly the same things.
On a much less stressing note, (I'm way to young to be this stressed out!) I would like to know if anyone has any ideas or things they would like to see in this. As I am mostly making this up as I go, I apreciate peoples suggestions. (ie: Hammer Time's Pyro Dragons)

Quote: Pardon, Shas'el. We can not continue further, my brood would perish in the flood of maliciously intended laser fire."
I love the cute way the Vesipids must talk, you really pulled it of I could hear the awkwardness in the speach as the Vespid spoke... Brilliant stuff!!!

Here it is, the end of chapter one. Hope everyone likes it. Feel free to voice your opinions, and I mean all of your opinions. If you genuinly think I could have done something better, tell me so!
By the way I figured that since the translation software of the Communion helms would be incoded by the Fio but what was being incoded would be the work of the Por. So it would be awkward and kinda fancy.
CHAPTER 1 part 6 of 6:
Ui Nem'ka scrutinized his team in the confines of the Devilfish. All of them were blood spattered, and wearied. They had separated away from the main body of Fire Warriors to make a preliminary strike on the flank. As the ‘fish landed to disgorge its passengers Nem'ka readied his carbine and took a last glance at the Shas'las before facing the rear hatch. It opened and Nem'ka leapt out. He looked around and couldn't see any enemies. Intel said that there had been several enemies around there. Something was wrong.
The Shas'ui ducked as a pair of suits landed beside him. "We have orders from the Shas'O to return to the rest of the Cadre, I suggest you do the same!" Aloh'cha shouted over his speakers as he jumped again. Nem'ka could not resist. He commed the Devilfish's driver and told him to continue back to the rest of their forces. He took the squad with him.
As they continued on, the sounds of combat reached their ears, blood freezing war cries and the roar of chain weapons. Nem'ka gave his team the order to hold their ground as he continued towards the source of the sounds. As he peered around a corner his jaw fell open. He was glad his helmet prevented anyone from seeing his wide eyed expression.
He almost called out as he saw his commander about to die. A massive spiked mace splattered blood on the surrounding buildings as it was swung at the cockpit of Mont'yon's suit. The Shas'O was staggering; there was no way for him to dodge! Before Nem'ka could even release so much as a yelp, Mont'yon had sent a gout of plasma into the bleeding weapon, knocking it to the side. Simultaneously placing two missiles into the Bezerkers chest. He followed this by shoving the barrel of his rifle through the weakened plating. The Chaos champion burnt from the inside out.
Mont'yon continued to fire as he used the corpse as a shield, quickly burning through the other side of the armor. He backhanded and un-helmeted marine, spattering fragments of bone and brain across a nearby wall. Volley after volley of plasma and missiles swept across the Bezerkers, Mont'yon's speed and reaction time going far beyond what it should have been.
As he ran out of missiles he pushed the armored corpse off of his plasma rifle and clasped the dead marine the ankle. With searing plasma and the swinging corpse he cleared them away. His last message before falling to the ground unconscious was for his bodyguards to retrieve him, they couldn't be far yet.
Nem'ka ran to his commander, jumping over the crushed and charred remains of the Khornate warriors. He called his squad over the comm, he alone wouldn't be able to carry his commander to safety and it was to open to guard him there.
In the end the assault was successful. The losses had been minimal and the victory great. The cultists had broken, attempting to retreat from the first detachment. They were met by the U'uash'o and his forces. None escaped and the Savagestrike Cadre had begun its assault. They could now travel through the main route to the hive city, cleaning out the Mont'au taint.
