Well, I haven't been on this site for a while.
So, This is my cadre. Those of you who realise the absence of the XV89 from my first thread, well, let's just say he was what convinced me to buy a new carry case.
First, let's look at the Fire warriors, so we can see the basic scheme. It's a near-textbook Vior'la scheme, except with grey fatigues rather than green, and blue lenses.
So, here are the FWs. Currently I have 2 finished units of 8 and a third in progress. I'm aiming for 4 units of 8 for the final cadre, although this will change if I alter the army list, etc.
Anyway, onto the pics!
Unit 1 Half 1 front:

...And back:

Half 2 front:

This was the first unit I ever produced for the cadre, so they are a little rough.
Unit 2 half 1 front:

and a close-up of the Shas'Ui:

On the 'Ui, you can see some marks on the helmet, these will be fixed ASAP!
That's all for the FWs at the moment. I will add more pics when the next unit is completed. :D
Now, here is my Piranha!
The piranha is one of my favourite models, so I wanted to do it justice with my paintjob. Unfortunately, It has been chipped and scaratched a little and I'm still in the process of cleanup. ;)
Piranha front:

and Birds-eye-view:

As you can see, the piranha pilots have been painted as if they were FW 'uis, this is to signify their higher status as they are pilots.
And a bonus for those of you who want a closer look at my basing scheme:

So, that's my cadre at the moment. In the pipeline is a (new) XV89 commander, an XV8, and a FW unit. I'm pretty busy. :)
P.S. I know the pics are terrible, I'll try to retake them next time I've got the camera.

Things should be working now... - ST

oink and Brokensword :
Everything should be cleared up now. I think Witheraf just used the wrong image tag; I know that some sites have multiple address for pictures, like a public and private version. I guess it doesn't matter now.

Witheraf :
You know, your other thread was one of my favorites to look through, but now it looks like this one will replace it. Nice work on the models, and I can't wait until the next installment.

I like what you've done with the markings on the Piranah; I may just do something similar on mine after seeing that. Very nice work!

Thanks guys,
glad you like the piranha! I'll be getting another one at some point, don't know when though. :)
I'll have the camera on Monday, so expect an update then. ;) The XV89 is primed and has 1 leg about half painted, but his base is completed! The base is quite simple, pretty much flat except for a 1st company smurf, slowly sinking into the mud.
The 3rd FW squad has three members fully painted and another about an eighth done. Unfortunately FWs seem to get a little monotonuos after a while.
Anyway, pics on Monday!!

Sorry guys, I'm gonna have to postpone that update...
Probably have it tommorow, although don't expect the pics to be brilliant, still got to find a better-lit place to photo stuff. Suggestions? :nice:

Looks great Witheraf, just wish some of those photos were larger so we can see a little more detail. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to your next update. :)

You could try placing a white Tshirt on a flat surface, then covering some lamps with white paper? The shirt provides a good background, whereas the covered lamps provide indirect lighting, to prevent excess shine on the model.

Ok, sorry for delay, definitely try to have them up on monday! :)
@Jordtron- Sure, I'll not resize the pics anymore. I just thought because I sometimes find it annoying having to scroll across to see the pic. :D
@Fraggle- Good Idea, although I had complaints about using a white backdrop in previous threads. The off-white 'blends in' with the white, apparently.
Again, sorry the pics still aren't up, but I will get them on monday!! (however, I'm not double-posting, so get the comments coming!)
