I was poking around this afternoon and found Vallejo has updated their website. Along with a new look & feel, they have also updated their paint equivalency guide to revised 3rd edition. Much to my pleasure, the update includes their GW to Game Color range, now translated and presented in English, and ... wait for it... it includes their new GW Foundation Paint equivalencies. I have yet to see the Extra Opaques retail, but am looking very forward to seeing their release. I've listed the conversions below, but I advise clicking the link to download a pdf copy of the whole guide for ease of use. Page 20 contains a much clearer summary of the information than I was able to post. http://www.acrylicosvallejo.com/pdf_web/CC073_rev03.pdf

Wow, very helpful!
Now, to find places in the UK that sell Vallejo Game Colours! I need terracotta so much it is unbelievable. I've had to use Dark Flesh on my Tau instead of Terracotta. This is really helpful and it is good to see someone went through the trouble of putting this together. Many praises for you. Oh, and two more words; Resource Article!

I have been using the Vallejo Terracotta since GW decided to discontinue it mid way through my cadre and I must admit that it is a very high quality product and cheaper too.
The dropper type bottle gives good control and reduces waste but I would recommend using an artists mixing board as some extra thinning of the paint is required before application. I am slowly changing all my GW paints to Vallejo at present.

One big problem is that I cannot find any chestnut ink equivalent anywhere. Anyone got any ideas? :(

Thanks a bunch for this! I noticed they pretty much copied Gee-Dub's names except for a minor change to avoid copywrite infringement... EG Bestial Brown - Beastly Brown

While not an exact match for chestnut ink I have found Devlan Mud and Gryphonne Sepia to both be among the best products GW makes - they are fantastic washes.

All the GW washes are good, but those two and Babab Black stand out for me. Devlan Mud is like Super Mystery Modeling Magic Sauce, it's the perfect wash for almost any terrain or vehicle weathering job; while Gryphonne Sepia is *perfect* for getting a very nice gold finish out of gold or silver metal paint.

Thanks for the Vallejo chart to the OP. There's a Vallejo/Tamiya converter I saw somewhere too, need to go google it up.

I've slowly been switching to the Vallejo line of paints as well. One small issue that I've yet to solve though... does any one know of an equivalent to the old GW color Ghostly Grey? I use this grey as a part of my army paint scheme ( helmets and shoulderguards ), and seeing as GW discontinued it some time ago, my relatively small supply has run out.

Any suggestions here would be greatly appreciated.
