Cool idea and inventive use of bits. I like the lookof it so far, but what is a "Pulse" variant, any fluff for that yet? And what purpose does the CIB fulfill in its current incarnation? I like the look of the suits that you have built lately and can't wait to see where this one goes Hoser

xv-8 wrote: The CIB is the Jump pack I belive. Correct.. The CIB is the vertical thrust for the jetpack and the regular jets are for maneuvering and forward thrust. The front jets are for slowing down and reverse thrust. The Pulse is designed with aerial and short term space combat in mind. I don't really like the CIB rules wise and never plan on using it... I thought it could be a cool jet. I hope that helps a bit.

I'm not sure how many people are watching this thread on here.. so I'm not going to post all the new pictures here as I'm not really getting replies.
However.. I have updated with a bunch of new photos in the warseer thread (available in the first post)
Updated are:
I've added the start of the "Quadro" XV-87.3 Crisis Suit.
I've added photos of the nearly completed "Pulse" crisis suit. (featured above)

Just for my two cents, I vastly prefer the TL misslepods when mounted on top of the jet pack. It kind of makes it look fuller, whereas the underslung version kinda crowds the rest of the model's look. Thats just me though. The "Quadro" suit or jetpack rather is looking really cool too.

NIce stuff Legacy. It's a pity you haven't gotten more responses from people. I particularly like your Quadro suit. Using SM jumpacks is an interesting idea and I'm really taken with your single-lense helm concept. Would you mind giving a list of the Wave parts and other non GW bits that you used on him? I've been wanting to get some of those types of parts, but really wasn't sure how big some of them were, what they looked like up close etc.

I just took my chanced, ordered a bunch of stuff and hoped it would be sized well.

Legacy40k : Looked through the last two pages of the thread, since I need to mow my lawn in... two seconds. Those models look great, especially the old XV-15s. Makes me want to strip mine and re-commission them for my army. The red and white also looks great on the tank, and the hexagonal pattern was executed very well.
Quick question: what made you decide to paint each Fire Warrior Team a different color? If it was answered earlier in this or the Warseer thread, then I apologize. I'm guessing so that it's easier to pick out the squads before, during, and after the game, but there might also be a fluff reason stuck in there...

There is a fluff reason why each team is a different colour, it also makes it easier to tell who belongs to what unit.
The reason being that fluff wise, the army is made up of 4 teams competing to make the best tau suits.. The red team, the blue team, the green team and the black team. To support their fire warriors they have suits and vehicles to go with them.
