Your models look great and the custom broadside railguns look good too, but I'm not a fan of what I've heard called 'Bunny Ears' as in the positioning of them on the shoulders. Your weathering is great too, and love the stealths.

Very nicely done! Way to show that tau can fight marines close combat wise! I like what you did with the flesh on your fire warriors, very vibrant.

I'm slowly becoming the green eyed monster looking at your cadre. This one of my favorite armies at ATT, I just love the muted tones you have chosen. Would be great to see a shot of your whole army.

Once again great work,

Rus'El.

Can you tell my what line of Star Wars ships you got yours from?

I've been looking for a slave 1 about that size.

Thanks,

Ohhh sweet XV88's!
I like!

Actually I like broadsides more in a bulked up way because I think that suits them better in their role as mobile gun-emplacement.
BUT yours really do the job very well. With those lighter (in a visual way ;) ) Railguns, the standard XV8 armour really works well together.
The paintjob is aas always superb and very crisp and subtle. Nice idea with the blazing gun and the ones that are already fired and off. *thumbs up*

Great work, keep it up!
I am looking impatiently onto the next update.

Hi mates, the jedi fighter is from REVELL, and is very cheap, it costs about 6 € :P

About the update, actually i'm working in my Gue'la squad, they'll be used as Fire wariors, so I had to paint them in a more similar way, 'cos they seemed to be pathfinders V_V. Anyway, this is part of my progress. Yesterday I worked on their helmets, step by step, and as you can see, I'm removing imperial weapons and giving them tau weapons :P.

By the way, I finished my fist Gun drones squad, ...quite simple, but it's a cute unit, isnt' it?

As with many others, I'm incredibly impressed... there are lots of nice fine details to each of the models... such as the tank top with the Tau symbol on those human auxiliaries! nice little touches like that make for a great force! I like the small lighting details on your xv8s... its something i've been meaning to add to my models, but haven't had the time (or courage) to do so!

I'm also particularly impressed with your stealth suits... I've seen that sort of thing attempted with disastrous effect but you've got it down very very well!

looking forward to further installments!

Have to say that I really like the turned 'heads' of some of those drones. I've never seen that done before but it adds a subtle bit of character to them and obviously they are painted very well indeed! Drones are amongst my favourite figures and yes, they are also quite cute looking. Beep Boop! :D

Son of a...*facepalm* As much as I LOVE those Gue'la and your broadsides...I simply can't forgive you on those backwards shins. :( I'm sorry, but that's just something I see far too often on here and it just irks the crap outta me...

Well, you can go to Reverse-Shin Rehab where all converted shins are facing the correct way, or you can provide constructive criticism instead of stating how much you dislike something they've done. Sound fair? - ST

actually Orpheus Hangar, I would have to disagree with you there. The backwards shin looks rather cool, as it has a different style to it than the regular tau shin.

Not when you have one shin facing one way and the other positioned normally; then it just looks like it wasn't assembled properly, and it isn't coherent with the other suits in the force-that other Broadside, for example.

Well, I have to say if Orpheus Hangar thinks it's an important thing the position of the shins, I don't worry about it. I prefer spenting more time painting the XV teams instead of removing and positioning the shins.
I mean, it works and the global effect is quite good for me, so I understand the criticism of Orpheus Hangar, but it's something wich absolutely doesn't worries me.
Anyway thanks for you comments mates ;)

Ok slap me silly and call me daft... What shins are you talking about? For starters, what the heck is a shin?

@sabre: How much would I have to pay you to paint my little cadre?

The part of your legs between your knees and your feet, dude :P Often times people on here-for some reason I'll never understand-flip the shin around backwards instead of just shaving it down a bit to fit better than it would've before.

Sabre, I am well impressed with what I've seen throughout this thread. Thank you for sharing your work like this.

Also, thank you for forcing me to go out now and buy one of those Revell SW Jedi models. I fancy those as TX-42 'counts as'.
