Welcome to Tactica!

Here at ATT we foster the belief that all ideas have a kernel of value, even if they often seem daft at first. This forum is for the discussion of all tactics and strategies pertaining to the use of the Tau in Warhammer 40K. Folks newer to the game should feel free to ask questions here about established tactics or to run ideas of their own past some of our more experienced Shas'ui. We were all new to the game at one point and it's only through playing games and asking questions that we can improve.

Occasionally after a period of discussion, a moderator might contact the primary author of an idea and ask them to flesh out their thoughts a bit and post a more detailed version of the topic. If you are contacted in this manner, you are in no way required to do as suggested; however, we hope that you would feel proud of your contribution and be willing to take the time to give back to our community by advancing our knowledge base.

As mentioned above, we value the open atmosphere we have here at ATT. Please be respectful and courteous when responding to others' ideas. Many new ideas and tactics are born only after several "bounces" back and forth between open-minded players. While it's true that some configurations and units are better at certain tasks, be sure to keep in mind the differing priorities and playstyles that other members may have. We certainly hope that new folks are told when ideas are unlikely to work; however, hopefully that advice includes an explanation of why and what might work better... rather than just a quick 'No' followed by attacks on their intelligence. In short, be excellent to each other!
