Hi guys, here's another update:
I tried to make his highlights a bit more.. standoutish so they showed up a bit better and I also wanted to show my first real attempt at getting that beautiful lens glow that everybody here seems to have ;).

Its looking pretty good. And of course it appears you've nailed the lens glow; I'm still working on it with my BTs...a little difficult with such an evil look pair of eyes.

Just a little clean up around the thrusters (to remove the blue that's gotten along their outer edge) and I think you're gonna be good to go.

Definitely will clean up the pack, still WIP so far. I'm a bit worried about the railguns because I'm not sure if the blue glow came out right ,pictures tonight.

excuse the slightly lower photo quality, my friend is borrowing my camera so I used my Evo Phone.

Looking pretty good! Unfortunately the Evo Phone takes away a lot of the minor details you've done to that suit in regards to painting.

The only concern I can see...and it may just be highlighting, but in the second picture, along the Paulson guns, it looks as if there is some white showing. Could be glow effect caught at a weird angle with the camera phone, or may have been something else. Just figured I'd bring it to your attention.

Any thoughts on what you plan to do with this? I skimmed through the older posts quickly; is this going to be a Shas'O or just a prototype suit?

Thanks for replying Ar'Ka
He is going to be a Named Character who can be either a broadside or Farsight (eventually). Yeah the Evo camera isn't too great right now because the battery was low and I didn't adjust the settings right (I needed better white balancing. The white you see is actually a glow effect int he craks of the gun, like on the jet packs, its on the seams of the gun too, a bit like Tron.

Wow, that is a great improvement! I must say that I am super impressed at your progress. When this suit started out I wasn't so sure on the design, but you have really done it well. The lenses look expertly done!

My only issue would be the way the Paulson Guns look a little crooked; like they are splayed to the sides. Is that just my angle?

Yeah, the guns seems crooked because they are magnetized.

Hi guys, I did some more stuff, I finished making his base (not painted of course) and I built and painted his new pilot! (fluff later as I come up with some.)

Does my pilot look like a pilot or just a trooper with a fancy helmet and no backpack? Fluffwise he has lots of bionics in his chest and head from an explosion.

Wow, that is a great looking pilot! I really like the conversions you did. The only issue I have is that it doesn't look very Tau since it doesn't have some on the trademark aesthetics, like optical lenses or antenna. Don't get me wrong, the visor is really cool, but looks more like a Gue'vesa.

How did you make him? (Also, avoid double posting just to add a little sentence. Just edit the original post.)

*Blows a little dust off of this thread*
Hey guys, I have been studying a lot lately and working on some marines but just today I found these little gems http://www.zealotminiatures.co.uk/ (female alien heads in the conversion bits section) I figured I was working on my female stealth suits a little bit ago and now that I found these I can replace their heads and finally finish them.

Fantastic find! Those female "Alien" heads will definitely be a great option to everyone looking to making more female soldiers. Perfect for the hobbyists not quite capable of reworking daemonette heads.

Definitely looking forward to the new heads for the female stealth team.

Okay I ordered the female heads and you guys can expect new pictures soon, maybe around April 2nd of the female stealthies! I guess I will call the XV-90 done for the time being.

Very nice start. I especially like the image of Shadowsun's helmet retracting. Very well done and will definitely add some nuance to the mini.

Can't wait to see the outcome of these minis as they get armed & painted.
