Hi All,

You wouldn't have easily known, due to the actual launch discussion happening in what was to become the Admin section of the community. But, as of yesterday for some, today for others, Advanced Tau Tactica is five years old.

We've grown from only three hundred odd members to the community we have today. At no point have we stepped back from our core values and beliefs, in fact I think we've built on them with the guidance and experience of a solid band of moderators and new administrator as we grew over this time.

Whilst some have moved on to other pursuits, or life requires some focussed attention, all have added and carried on ATT's stance on conversation, etiquette and above all respecting your fellow readers. Of late a majority of posts seem like early workings for the Academy section! Even the modelling forums seem to fill with posts on outstanding modelling and advice daily. I have had little chance to model something new for awhile, and I tell you what, I'm going to have to bring out the big PAC Triple core shoulder mounted projectors to even get a 'oh that's nice'. :D

Over time the Tau model range has grown and our community has torn asunder these worthy kits to make something other than the original content. And I guess this is what makes ATT, we don't do standard content. Everything is improved on, the way we converse, model and consider our gaming hobby.

I've enjoyed every year on ATT, well there was the time my pech'caffe went missing in the Admin lounge, but I'm over that (checks hunter drone monitor), yes.. I've moved on. I look forward to many more, particularly with rumblings of new goodies being shipped to the Third Sphere soon!

ATT, we have guidelines developed over five years for pretty much everything. We're elitist snobs defending our little orbital in an huge online galaxy. I wouldn't have it any other way and wouldn't do it without a community and officers such as you. Thank you everyone, we're all ATT.

Happy Birthday ATT!

I've read this forum since it's inception, and it played a large part it my collecting a Tau force.

"Elitist snobs defending our little orbital in an huge online galaxy" best quote ever!

Here's to another five years of inspiration and elitism.

Congratulations on a well preserved enclave. I know I'm relatively new to this place, but it has been a great joy seeing the community change even in the short time that I've been here with you. I look forward to another year of discussions, as well as a new codex to discuss with the lot of you.

A big thank you to the admins and moderators for maintaining this place. Without you guys we really wouldn't have this place to converse.

Happy Birthday, ATT! And congratulations for five successful years. :) It was interesting and fascinating to see this forum grow and develop to what become my favourite 40k forum.

Thanks to all the Admins and Mods for managing/maintaining and keeping up the spirits of ATT. And thanks to all the other members for giving so much input in a (quality) way that makes ATT what it is today.

For another five years and - hopefully - with a new codex soon that gives us enough stuff and ideas and that brings out the tactica of ATT again.

c.m

So where is that extra celebration Sushi?

Congratulations to all the ATT staff, and a big thank you. I've not been here long but I can say with no hyperbole that this is one of the greatest forums on the interwebs. I, like many i'm sure, have a lot of big plans for my Tau, and I hope to contribute a lot over the next year (need to get going on that "saga" of mine  ). If everything goes well I should still be around to help celebrate your 10th anniversary. :D

Level-up! Nice!

Big thanks to the "Commander" and all benevolent next-in-chargers who maintain this page and make it one of the most effective, grown-up and clean WH40K-forums out there. Keep it up, boys!

Best wishes and cheerful holler!

Congratulations Sebastian. 5 years in internet time is what? 10,000 dog years or something?

Seriously though, thank you for the community you've created here at ATT and, in response to this:

Don't underestimate the influence your work has had on community here - including the lurkers. 2 years later and I am still trying to execute to your modding & painting standard. ;)

Congratulations ATT!

This has grown in to being one of the most mature and sensible forums on the net.

I regularly scout other war gaming forums but have never signed up or post as regularly as I do on ATT. Reason being you get a sensible and well constructed reply. On other forums it normally ends up in a flame war or your tactics/units just getting shouted down.

Here's to five years more

We [the mods] try our best to keep discussions on track but I would like to thank all of the 'Ui members that actively point out posts which need warning as well as those deserving of promotion from the concourses. You guys make our jobs so much easier as we don't have the time to read every post.

Happy Birthday ATT!

This is the only forum that I check in on daily. The internet is filled with anonymous children sniping at one another with very little productivity. ATT is the only place I can go to read adult discourse about the hobby I am so enamored with. Thanks to the admins, moderators and members for providing me with a place where a big kid can read about his favorite toys without dealing with the babies.

Keep up the Great work!

Now this is an event that would make even me come back and say hello!

Hello! And congratulations, ATT! I've been reading some of the recent posts and I'm really glad to see the quality levels are being scrupulously maintained! ;)

Happy Birthday ATT and thank you to everyone on the site, old and new, we all play our part in the success of this great one-of-a-kind forum.

P.S. Can I also give huge thanks and kudos to ATT for upholding the standards of the English language and preventing us from degenerating into a bunch of OMG TXT LOLs! My English has certainly been maintained by regular posts.

God damn I love ATT!!! :P

Awesome! Congratulations ATT! I have only been reading up on this forum since this past summer as I have just begun playing 40K but the community has been great and articles are a pleasure to read. Because of this site and the effort made by the folks who have contributed articles and discussions my game has improved and I have learned much. I am very happy to start with the Tau empire as my first army and I am looking forward to all the updates, discussions and articles when a new Codex is published....

Thanks for all your well wishes all. I've amended the first post to include our Orbital's crew, make sure all those new to ATT know the folks I mean when I say the Admin team. I'll reiterate Theambit's comment on our Shas'ui members, keep on markerlighting the good content on ATT, it's helps the team massively and ensures great topics get recognition.

On another note, mysteriously the Happy Tau SushiTM shipment went missing enroute from the cargo bay to the lounge deck. Looking into it..

Don't worry about it; I have it all under control.... :crafty: ~ E.

Yes, our fair little orbital has seen its share of battles. The Be'gel LOL-Speaker Warband is a threat we've managed to keep at bay; it seems our formidable markerlight arrays quickly identify these greenskin menaces. The occasional incursion of the Mont'au "Flamer" and "Troll" entities have also been neutralized, although we must always be vigilant. That we are able to withstand such foes while they run rampant in other sectors is truly a testament to the skills of each member of ATT.

So a big thank you to all for contributing to this site. The Shas'ar'tol have setup a great system, which we all love; so big thanks to them. My fellow Shas'Vre do a great job keeping the place in order and contributing some amazing stuff themselves. The Shas'Ui cannot be thanked enough for their faithful use of their markerlights to help us eliminate any potential threat. And to the La and Saal, you guys all give such good stuff, so keep it up! :)

This is really the only forum I have been active in and its standards make it very hard to go elsewhere. So let's all look to the future and make 2011 another great year to be a Tau! :D

Happy Birthday ATT and Happy Birthday Doombringer!

Five years, that is a lot of time, and I have been around only around 1/2 of that time.

Thanks to all members for creating this great community.

Wow, five years already?! <_<

Well, it seems that ATT was way older than I thought!

We must say a really huge thank to the original foundators of ATT. It's an incredible forum we have here, and other warhammer forums can't match us in organization and awesomeness! ;)

Joyeux Anniversaire ATT et longue vie aux Tau!

Also, special cookie for Mont'va! So how many tau'cyr so far? :)
