So with the release of the new Dark Eldar minis I really wanted to get in on that. The new minis are excellently crafted and I really wanted to start collecting another army in addition to Tau to enjoy a quite different playstyle.
Anyway I've had the Wych minis just sitting there, all assembled and undercoated, and after completing my Firewarrior squad I couldn't help but jump at the chance to figure out a paint scheme for these guys and get them painted up and battle ready. After I've finished this squad of Wyches, and probably Lelith too, I'll get back to working on my Tau but for now here's 4 completed Wyches...
These are the 2 I finished just last night.
Razorflails!
Hydra Gauntlets!
And here's pics of the first Wych I painted...
And this last pic is one I took to remind myself of the paints I used/order I put 'em on in. So essentially it goes left to right, with only a few of the colours re-applied after the wash to brighten them/hilight bitz...

That's some nice work there mate
I think that broken cobbles, floor panels or mesh gantry may be the way to base them as DE are predominantly settlement raiders it may be appropriate to look for settelement-style flooring?

I'm feeling content for now with how much of my Tau is painted, so now I'm getting back onto these Dark Eldar for a bit starting wtih Reaver Jetbikes!
Mostly painted Jetbike...
Since I've been magnetizing as much as possible with my Tau I had to do some magnetizing to my DE. Turns out the rounded slot for the flying base on the reavers is a perfect size for a 3x2mm magnet!
