Dang, really excellent work here, Firah. I'm loving the guy taking off his helmet; the pose looks really smooth and natural. Care to tell us where his backpack is from?

IG pack I assume. It works really well with the fire warrior.

If your looking for inspiration or a how to on the "Tron" style highlights you were referring to...maybe check out my version of R'alai on my "Blueshock's Cadre" topic. I did a pretty interesting form of that idea with his left arm and shield in purple you might like...as well as putting a quick" how to" on it.

Aha! that's exactly what I was looking for  !

Hey Firah, I had to have a look at your log after I saw the link in mine. Awesome work. Really love the detail you have put into your models. I would love to see more of your Tau if you have completed any more of them. Keep up the good work. :)

Ah, waiting for the new codex at the moment, I have a few tau minis painted up, but I haven't had the time to take any pictures.

The commander is splendid - how on earth did you manage all those little runes [runes? characters? kanji? - what do you call Tau text?]. I take several tries and a flood of swears even to do Sept marks, so the level of patience involved must be very high indeed.

Hey Firah! Can't believe I missed the PPSMM invasion of your topic! :D

Already checking out the link you provided, great idea. Also, the last batch you completed were a nice trio of honour guard, look forward to more in future when the new codex lands.

- Tael.

They are random marks really ;), I am a bit regretting the commander now, it looks good but I am sure they will make new models for the crisis suits that will make it a bit obsolete :(.

Cheers :D, I have a few more dismembered fire warriors on my bench waiting to become the last few honour guard.

PPSMM :O?

A few finished models for my Gue'Vesa and a human fire warrior.

Remember the day when Rough riders came in blisters of two for £4? no? me neither but apparently I bought some at that time. I found them in a box buried in my cupboard I decided to fix them up, then got to chopping them up and putting them back together immediately. Combined with some cheap glade rider parts from Ebay I have enough horses and bits for 12 rough riders, here are the first 5.

I have been looking for an excuse to buy one of the gorgeous Sslyth since I first saw them. I recently Noticed that Sslyth and Ogryns have almost identical stat lines and immediately grabbed one. so here we have "Nork Deddog" A Sslyth mercenary working as bodyguard for my captain:

Slightly converted, replaced the shardcarbine with a counts as ripper gun, then replaced the original sword and pistol with two matching swords

Not bad at all! He needs to be on a 40mm base, though. :P

I had forgotten about the snake lad from the Dark Eldar army. Might just pick him up.

Again, love the conversions and can't believe you had all those Rough Riders.. lucky sod! :D

I used to have a ten man strong IG Rough Rider squad with the old RT era guardsmen (slouch hats and all). Miss them. :?

I agree to Shinji! The whole army in one shot would be great!

I love the snake.

Possibly not as huge as you might think :D but i'll try to get an army shot soon.

For now another refurbished miniature, an earthshaker cannon!
