I havn't seen these before so I thought I'd share what's up on BoLS right now for people who don't look there.

Sweet skyray and hammerheads though:

Those are pretty sweet fliers. The front section looks like it could disconnect from the main craft as a smaller escape ship too, would still have 2 burst cannons to protect it then as well!

They are pretty cool.

I'd like to see more of an actual "gunship" design for Tau forces.

Some nice conversion work, but personally I don't like them.
The blocky shape of the main body is a no-no for me.

I like those models, even if the design of the two kits is a bit contrasting. It seems like it may be a count-as IG army? Anyone know any info on who made it?

To me it would appear that those fliers represent his gunships (hammerhead, and skyray.) They have the same weapons as either of those hulls (railgun or missile-rack turret and two burst cannons) and there are only 3 of them, one for each heavy slot.

I've actually thought of doing something similar as our "gunships" don't look all that flight worthy, despite having those engines.

This is a nice kit bash although I agree that the designs of the two styles really do clash, and not in a good way.

The fourth one is probably one of his devilfish, this is a sweet way to mount your force!

Well if you notice, the back ships have two Railguns. It seems to me that those are to represent the twin Lascannons the Valkyrie can be armed with.

The comments indicate that it's a Gue'vesa army or counts-as IG. Those are valks/vendettas according to a guy who has played against it.

This makes the aestetic more fitting to me. Anyway like it or not, new ideas are inspirational!

I wonder if he did a VDR model to represent all the upgrades? It wouldn't be hard with all of the VDR stuff floating around. Also raises the question if GW might update their vdr rules...

Just a little update for anyone who saw these pictures on BoLS. More pictures can be found here!

Definitely a neat idea! I'd love to have seen the fliers as they were being built.

Those things are incredibly impressive, I would have liked to see a slightly different paint scheme on them to perhaps show off the details a bit better though.
