How did you get into wargaming?
Played epic and fantasy years ago, just recently returning to the GW family.

How did you get into Tau?
I got lucky and purchased an army from a friend of the brother-in-law for next to nothing.

What would be your second piece of advice (after "read the freakin' rules") to a new Tau player?
Have fun. The modelling is as fun if not more than the actually playing for me.

What is your Tau colour scheme?
This has been the worst part of the hobby for me. I have spent hours pouring over pics of schemes, painted numerous models trying different variations, and read several novels for inspiration. When it was all said and done and after lurking here for nearly a year I have decided to emulate SpartanTau's theme with a few of my own alterations as far as colors go. Thank you for inspiration and saving me my sanity.

How did you find this site/the old site, and how long have you been a member?
Once I decided on Tau I started the research to get inspiration and maximize their potential.

What are the origins of your ATT username?
I've been a gamer for years and its followed me through most of my internet time.

Have you reviewed the ATT Member Primers?
Yes

Where and how often do you usually play?
I haven't played in years but I am anxious to get back into the fight.

Do you have any other armies, for 40K or another system?
I am working on an Imperial Guard army for my son and a Space Marine army for myself.

What is your favourite and least favourite army to play against?
Having not played in a really long time I cannot honestly answer this question.

What is your best and worst 40K moment?
See above. Working on it.

What does/do your family/significant other/friends think about your 'funny toys'?
Luckily my wife understands my gaming hobby and it has been a real fun way for me to spend time doing something with my son.

What are some of you other interests?
Gaming in general whether MMO's or tabletop to RPG's. I have been gaming one way or another since high school.

Do you have any pets?
2 dogs

What is your favourite band?
Rush

Welcome to ATT Chris, It's good to see you've read the primers, and have your profile up and running. It is one of the first things that we check should we feel the need to evaluate your presence on the boards. Really, it's just good to know who you are! Next step is to get a feel for the place, lurk a bit, and make sure that your first post on the concourses is a really good one.

I'm glad to see another modelling enthusiast on the site. While we're twiddling our thumbs waiting for a new codex, much of the lifeblood of ATT resides in Research and Development and its subfora. I'd really like to see your army and your son's as they develop—you sound like a pretty cool dad.

Hiya Syvidion, and welcome to ATT. Glad you've found us helpful, and funnily enough I have kind of adopted Kor'Vre SpartanTau's colour scheme too for my second Tau army.

It will be good having father/son time over a battlefield of tiny fighting men. Just don't let him read the Bolter and Chainsword website so that he learns how to defeat Tau with Space Marines! Only joking - B&C are probably THE premier website for all things Space Marine.

Good to have you aboard, and looking forward to your participating in the forums. Oh, and I definitely share your opinion of Rush!

E.
