In this section in a différent topic or somewhere else ? @Wolfs16 : Thanks for being your Inspiration For the Turquoise, they will be repainted in Grey like the central symbol of the shield. Vinzz'

If you would like to create a thread in the Enemies and Alternate Systems forum to showcase your SW army that would be best. Some individual shots of units would also be appreciated.

I really like your painting style. I've done a similar style but your colors really pop.
I myself am starting a new army and indecisive on a 'cool' look or a 'real' look in palette and tone.
Thanks for sharing.

Bonjour Salgin (Hello Salgin)
That's an impressive model. Please keep us feeding more pictures.
I have a small request though. Could you tell me if the white markings are shaded by You or is it an optic illusion ? It seems like you painted it, and if that's the case, please tell me how you do that. It's a thing i would love to try on one of my suits.
Cheers

Hi all, After a long silence, I'm back with good news : My Commander is soon finished. < Sorry for pictures, I'm not good for this and I can't stop the flash > I added black to colour scheme to strengthen the warlike character, only the sorts of rivets formerly Scaly Green are still black because I don't know how to paint them (if somebody have a wonderfull idea, I take ). I again have to make the OSL of reactors and mouth of the weapon. Salgin

Stunning Strong dark colours, but without being muddy, a unique pose, excellent lighting technique... I love it! The base is good, but I do think it could do with a little something, maybe some raised foliage or static grass, to add a little height here and there? But damn, he's good

Possibly. It was not planned but the idea is sexy Nobody had an idea for the rivets of the exo-suit ? Black is redundant with the rest of the colour scheme, mithril/Metallic/gold is bad. Rest the idea to paint them like the suit's symbol of Tau'N in pearl grey. Vinzz'

Hi all, I'm back with some pictures of my new color scheme based on the Farsight Enclaves. Sorry for the bad quality of pictures but you'll have the correct colors. Since the new codex, I have repaint all of my exo-suits (11 XV-08 and one XV-88) for approximatively 20h of work. Based on mechrite red, I use some weathering techniques to obtain some battle-damaged exo-suits. Hope you'll be enjoy : XV-88 Broadside : XV-08 Crisis : Tetra : The suits and the tetra don't be totally finished because I don't know if I add some White on the color scheme or not and because I didn't add some distinctive markings. Don't hesitate if you have some ideas, I'm open. Vinzz'

Salgin! Welcome back Loving the Tetra, looks like they've gone in real close for a perfect marker hit. The dials and lights are crisply done, admirable work and a reference photo for me now

Agentarrow wrote: Those heavy drones are creative! good work! Top notch painting to go with them as well. Quality update as always. Thanks for your comment. Watching some blogs helps me to being creative. It's a difficult work specially for Color scheme but I'm very happy with mine because he's quick. During last Week, I worked on my piranhas and started a Hammer Head : First Piranha : Second one : And WIP for the Hammer : I worked only on the black weathering but not again on the Chainmail one. Tau Symbol is worked on a base of Scaly green before weathering. Black on nose is not clean (I hate new GW paint) so I'll have to worked on new battle damages to hide this. Two hours by piranha and around three for the hammer. Enjoy ! Vinzz'

Gritty dirty Tau definitely seem to be in fashion at the moment. I love your colour combination, it's one I've thought about my self. I only really decided against it because my other army is red (BA's) and I needed a break from it. It's quite brave to use both black and white to accent your main colour as it can be hard to find a good balance (In my experience), but you have done it very well. The gem work on your tetra’s display instruments is very striking especially against the grittiness of the vehicle. You've got me in the mood to paint my Piranhas now, damn it!
