:::Blows a huge layer of dust off some Tau models::

Wow long time...

I was up at Adepticon last weekend which is an incredible convention. After dumping some unwanted stuff at the bitz trading event I bought some new suits and a set of stealth drone fighters at the FW booth. Adepticon has my blood pumping about doing some modelling again and decided I wanted to dust off and finish some of my old projects to go along with the new stuff.

I pulled on of my favorites out of the bin and started making some new mods.

I reworked the should pads a bit and started stream lining the leg armor slightly. He's significantly taller than the stock suits (also on a shorter base). The theme for my T'goshai sept is that they are a lost/break away faction I wanted to give them a differant look.

The culture they've adopted is samurai-esque and in battle they fight for personal glory and honor, so they are more like a Farsight cadre where they not only train for close quarters fighting but in many ways prefer it as it's a way to display personal valor. With that in mind I wanted to give them a more powerful and imposing suit that looks at home in melee. I'll probably use XV-9 stats for them.

And a quick photo shop to show what it'll look like with both arms.

Other minor elements, I've changed several of the angles on the thigh plate and filled in the panel lines so that it'll match the torso and shoulder armor better. Also narrowed the hips and opened up the right leg ball socket hole so it fits more snugly, I'll be repeating that on the left side as well.

I'll be adding some hands to the model likely from power fists or a wraithlord. Also likely to redo the shins and feet, maybe FW shins and a custom foot sculpt more like the Crillo art.

I was wondering if you had forgotten T'goshai, good to see that you have not.

It was very interesting to see your adventures on Adepticon on Facebook, a lot of nice pictures.

This exciting project has my attention.
